Functional Responsibilities
o To provide designs and check to ensure they are accurate and in line with defined requirements.
o To provide support to the Design Manager in achieving the completion of
design projects to time and budget.
o To provide support in agreeing the project brief, establishing timelines, delegating tasks and monitor progress of the same.
o To assist the Design Manager in the proper utilization of design resources.
o To undertake Value Engineering reviews and make recommendations for improvement during the various design stages and advise Design Manager on any matters arising.
o Coordinate / Liaise with Consultants, Client, Landlords etc on all client related changes, comments, and ensure approvals and consequent incorporation
in the design.
o Ensure design compliance is line with best practices, BU requirements and Company policies and procedures.
Specific to Senior roles:
o Monitor the performance of their team members to ensure the design correctness and completeness as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements
o To check contractors workshop drawings to ensure alignment with the designer‘s intent.
o To guide junior staff in design processes and technical matters.
o To provide 3D Renderings for the propose concept to be presented to Client.
o To provide working drawings and architectural details in AutoCAD needed for construction and government approvals.
o Coordinate with the Project Managers, Engineers and Designers for the necessary drawings and details needed for Client’s approval and for construction.
o Work with project team to execute projects on time and on budget.
o Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts.
o To provide alternative design concepts to meet Client’s requirements.
o To provide support on the estimation team by giving them measured quantities.
o Handling Architectural documentation for the incoming and outgoing files.
