Total years of experience :0 years, 7 Months
In order to prepare my master's degree dissertation (Gas Cycling Performance to improve Condensate Recovery Rate in Hassi R'mel Gas Field), I had an internship during 3 months in Production-Exploration activity of the SONATRACH Petroleum Company. My internship was divided into two parts:
The first part took place in Production Division in Hassi R'mel region. I was called to:
- Understand the gas production chain of Hassi R'mel gas field.
- Assist different well interventions (Coiled Tubing, Wire-line, Work-over)
- Assist drilling and completion operations.
- Understand the geology of Hassi R'mel gas field.
- Understand the behaviour of Hassi R'mel fluids.
- Analyse the PVT results.
- Study the Material Balance equation of Hassi R'mel Gas field and determine the Original Gas in Place.
- Analyse the production history.
The second part took place in Petroleum Engineering & Development Division in the capital Algiers. I was called to:
- Study the gas cycling efficiency of Hassi R'mel Gas Field.
- Create a basic model of Hassi R'mel Gas field by MBAL and determine different Drive Mechanisms.
- Understand the Full Field Reservoir Model (FFRM by DeGolyer & MacNaughton).
- Perform different development strategies in order to improve condensate recovery rate.
- Analyse the different results and choose the best gas cycling rate.
An Overview of Petroleum Professional Life
My training within the SONATRACH Company in STAH region allowed me to rub shoulders with the staff of various services of the Engineering and Production Division and to understand more closely the role of each of them.
On my first visit to STAH, I made contact with the staff and I gained a lot of useful information. I had the opportunity to understand each of these services, and the tasks assigned to them.
All services of the Engineering and Production Division cooperate with each other in order to ensure a smooth running of the division and guarantee a productivity above the forecasts suggested by the concerned authorities.
During this training I learned the basics of thermodynamic concept of a thermal power-plant. By accompanying the economic team, I could discover new ways to improve the power-plant and increase its efficiency. I studied for the first time Hirn thermodynamic cycle improved by four racking. I visited the demineralization station and the seawater purification station used to cool down the steam.
My master's degree graduation project was titled "Gas Cycling Performance to improve Condensate Recovery Rate in Hassi R'mel Gas Field". The aim of this work was : - To study the gas cycling efficiency. - To optimise the condensate recovery rate.
My project of End Study was themed “Comparative and Numerical Study of Different Cooling Systems” ranked the best with a score of 17.5/20. The aim of my work was, - Study the process of cooling of a metallic plate using ambient air and compare it to the metallic fluid cooling. - Theoretical approach about the behaviour of heat transfer and fluids flow in cooling systems. - Numerical simulation of air and Gallium alloy cooling systems. - Economic survey of Gallium alloy.
