Core Duties
▪ Processes reservations by mail and telephone
▪ Knows the type of restaurants available as well as their location and
layout
▪ Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
▪ Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each
reservation.
▪ Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and
alphabetical listing.
▪ Prepares letters of confirmation.
▪ Communicates reservation information to the front desk and
restaurants managers.
▪ Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this
information to the front desk or restaurants.
▪ Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-
shows.
▪ Processes advance deposits on reservations using payment links.
▪ To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb
threat procedures.
Core Duties
•Directly involved in the order taking and order placing process while
dealing with guest requests and orders, courteously, efficiently and
promptly
•Know all menus and on-going promotions in the outlet by heart and
gives recommendations to guests upon request
•Answer the Room Service telephones, if and when required
•Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate
supervisor
•Attend regular training session in line with the departmental SOPs i.e.
guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, telephone
manners etc.
•Flexible to work in other areas when required by the immediate
supervisor Familiar with the company s internal policies and procedures
and adhere with them
•Issue receipts, refunds, credit or change due to customers.
•Providing information regarding the Hotel, town attractions, activities e.t.c.
