• Responsible for liaising with the Rigs / Barges / vessel for all Crew Change Matters. To respond to the concern Person regarding Crew Relief requests
• To liaise with Field offices, Port agents, Travel agency etc for facilitating crew change
• Mobilizing employees for Barges and overseas unit (Unskilled, Semiskilled, Highly skilled),
• To be fully aware of Visa requirements for carrying out crew change.
• Responsible for ensuring that seafarers onboard and joiners have all required documents as per Vessel/Barges / Rigs / Client requirements
• Maintaining 42 days on and 21 days off schedule,
• To check every month the list of seafarers whose documents (Including Flag state, Travel docs etc) are expiring in next 30 days.
• To sign-on and sign-off a Seafarer in Shipmate upon crew change effected.
• To coordinate with Documentation cell for applying Flag state documents for the seafarer
• To seek Handover notes of Crew from vessel and pass it on to joiners. Prior signing off a seafarer, inform the Training program for him after disembarkation.
• To seek Appraisal reports of all Crew from Vessel/Barges / Rigs / Clients
• To place remarks in Shipmate regarding any information available from Vessel/Barges / Rigs / Clients on the performance of seafarers.
• To coordinate with Client on the Travel arrangements for their request
• To update the planners in the Shipmate and inform Global Recruitment Dept on the requirement of Crew in next 60 days. This is done on a weekly basis.
• To arrange for travel tickets, accommodation if necessary and communicate with agents and vessels as necessary for sign on/off formalities.
• To verify that the pre-departure checklist is updated with regards to certificates, training courses, medicals and validity is maintained.
• Responsible for maintaining Staff position,
• Responsible for pre-mobilization documents,
• Co-ordination with clients / other base offices/ Cat. Sup. etc.
• Sending manifests well in advance & ensuring final departure of crew & their safe arrival on board,
• Responsibility of arranging ONGC Smart Cards & its renewal,
• Responsible for maintaining Crew data Base,
• Coordinating with operations departments for the smooth flow of team work,
• Monitoring Performance Review Report,
• Conduct training for the employees,
• Briefing employees about job description,
• Helping HR team with other HR activities,
• Coordinate for rewards and recognition program,
• Coordinate for payroll related queries with employees,
• Coordinate for MEET THE MANAGER initiative,
• Responsible for Employee Assistance Register,
• Handling Impress Cash as and when in required.
