1. Technology absorption:
- Kilo lab / pilot plant trials
- BFD / PFD / P&ID / SOP preparation / Mass & Energy balance
- Process Engineering calculations
- Decide & develop instrumentation control philosophy for DCS
- Technical specifications for new equipment and instruments
- Commissioning / Hand over to production- achieving desired quality & norms for RM & waste
Accomplishment:
• Successful establishment of 5 nos of molecules (out of which, 3 were green field projects) in fully automated plants
2. Process Safety Management
- Establishing the awareness towards safety and building a strong safety culture through
- Process Hazards Analysis; Process Safety Information; Operating Procedures
- Change Management Controlling (individually responsible); Mechanical Integrity & PSSR
- Sizing of Safety devices
Accomplishment:
• Team leader for HAZOP study, Risk assessment & PSM; Champion for RC (Process Safety)
3. Technical Services
- RMC reduction by process change / yield improvement
- Waste load AND/OR waste treatment cost reduction
- Solvent recovery & recycling establishment
- Energy conservation
- Troubleshooting support to operations/engineering team
4. Leading/Mentoring the team of chemical engineers & chemists to achieve the organization goals
- Established a Process Engineering Research Lab at Dholka & built a new process engineering team at Ankleshwar site
- Process intensification work (lab trials & scale-up till pilot stage) - applying new technology for available process OR fitting the process into new technology with some modifications - to achieve cost reduction / productivity improvement
- RMC reduction / improvement OR establishment of solvent recycling / effluent load OR effluent treatment cost reduction
- Technical services / support to operations team
- Improvement in EHS compliance of the site
- Necessary reports preparation / documentation
- Taking care of - solvent loss reduction / solvent recovery improvement / energy conservation / heat integration / process engineering equipment design.
- From conceptualization to commissioning - individually responsible for all improvements.
- Taking care of Scale-up activities - by Technology Transfer AND/OR Technology Absorption for various API / HPAI (cytotoxic) molecules under NPD (New Product Development) OR CIP (Cost Improvement Program - for existing molecules) at in-house / outsourcing facilities
