on 14-02-1983 & was posted in a semi urban branch of the Bank in Orissa state. There I got acquainted with various aspects of branch function. Then I underwent on the job training & was nominated for two work related training courses at MDI, Mumbai subsequently.

After working in three more rural & semi urban branches, I was posted at Cuttack Branch in Orissa, as Manager Administration. It being a urban posting in an exclusively Business dominated area, I had to work more as a Relationship Manager.

In 1989, I was posted as Branch Head of a small branch in ORISSA with a business mix of Rs 10 crores..
The branch got upgraded to medium branch and I was promoted to Middle
Management position.

Subsequently I worked as Branch Manager of a MM ii branch in BIHAR with a business mix of Rs 30 crores.

After a successful stint there for two years, I was posted as credit Manager, at
Adityapur Industrial Estate branch, Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand state.

There I got acquainted with industrial finances including small, medium & large Borrowal a/cs up to 25 crores which includes many ancillary units of TELCO.

In 1997, I was transferred to Orissa, worked at Zonal Office, in Large Borrowal Dept. as chief officer, handled large advances of the Zone with an advance portfolio of Rs 800 crores..

In 1998, I was nominated to JNIDBI Training institute, Hyderabad for one
Month for financing Term loan to corporate borrowers.

Here, I completed successfully, the Diploma from Indian Institute of Bankers
(CAIIB), DCA, from Aptech, underwent training in foreign exchange.


Thereafter I headed a large branch in orissa & got my promotion to Senior
Manager’s post after which I joined as Senior Branch Manager in a large branch in MP with a business mix of Rs 60 crores. The Branch was the highest profit making Branch in Khandwa Zone..



There I achieved deposit target, reduced the Non-performing asset from 68 lacs to 13 lacs, the branch made a profit of 266 lacs, achieved a business mix of 100 crores.
