In Charge of:
• Focal point for the implementation of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation innovation projects. Representation in working groups, workshops, and meetings with the donor.
• Following-up the implementation of the on-site sanitation systems and water filtration units inside IS’s.
• Proposing new models and designs for water and sanitation treatment units in collaboration with research centers, Universities, and other WASH partners.
• Designing new models and approaches to find more sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions inside the IS’s.
• Monitoring the quality of the water in the define locations and investigating technical solutions to eliminate nitrates and other chemicals from the water.
• Exploring the possibility of reusing wastewater for irrigation purposes in collaboration with other national and regional platforms advocating for it.
• Coordinating with local authorities including, but not limited to, Water Establishment, MoEW, LRA, municipalities and landlords.
• Coordinating with UNICEF, Water Sector, and other WASH partners to share information and lessons learnt.
• Ensuring the operationality of the systems and the compliance of the effluent quality with Ministries standards and Water Sector guidelines.
In Charge of:
• Designing and executing small buildings like villas, houses, and stores for people inside villages. Executing new projects and rehabilitation of others.
• Drawing all the plans of the project from A to Z by the help of Electrical, Mechanical, Geotechnical Engineers and Architects to have all the work done properly.
• Following up with the OEA and official departments in Lebanon to bring an official statement for the building to be executed.
• Preparing BoQs for the entire project to bring what needed from cement, gravels, Steel rebar’s, machines, materials, and workers needed.
• Supervising the Electrical, Mechanical, and other works to have full organized projects from A to Z.
• Managing the whole project and work executed from excavation to keys, in addition to the workers, Forman’s, and Engineers.
• Monitoring the workday by day to have an excellent work done and as specification needed.
In Charge of:
• Managing a whole team composed of site engineers, tradespersons and maintenance staff in several projects funded by Appeal (Oxfam Fund), European Union (ECHO), Canadian Government (GAC), and Danish Government (Danida). In these projects, I was responsible of 8 villages in North Bekaa where we are supporting the Syrian refugees living in Informal Settlements (ITS’s) with their WASH needs.
• Reviewing and preparing all the assessments, documents, surveying, and mapping needed for 175 ITS’s where we were working in North Bekaa area.
• Designing and installing water and sewage networks, in addition to light, rapid and simple toilets, showers, hand washing and water collection facilities.
• Designing and installing all kinds of grey water systems, septic tanks, septic tanks with ABR and Trickling filters, wet-land systems, and wastewater treatment plants.
• Reviewing and preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ’s) and tenders for required construction, repair or rehabilitation works.
• Coordinating closely with other team members, specifically Public Health Promotion and Protection teams to ensure integrated and coordinated humanitarian program activities.
• Participating in WaSH field-based meetings with other stakeholders, also coordination and communication with the Ministries, BWE, UNICEF and municipalities.
• Ensuring appropriate internal and external representations, sharing regular reports to the management, and attending external meetings with the Government, UN, and NGOs.
• Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly track of work to the Program Manager.
In Charge of:
• Making the needed assessment for all the Informal Settlements (ITS’s) of the project.
The project is about supporting the Syrian Refugees with their WASH needs in all the ITS’s in Zahle, Anjar, MajdalAnjar, Taanayel, Torbol villages in Central Bekaa area.
• Surveying and Mapping the ITS’s to have proper drawings and organized work.
• Making the whole design including water and sewage networks, and all things related to WASH like Latrines, Septic Tanks, Grease Strap, Water Tanks, and others.
• Ensuring the proper filling of Bill of Quantities, Scope of Works, and contracts.
• Taking part in the communication with Beneficiaries, Landlords, and Municipalities.
• Supervising the construction activity for the WASH components of the program.
• Taking part in the distribution and/or installation of WASH items, namely water tanks, latrines, Septic Tanks, Water and Sewage Networks.
• Identifying the needs for latrines, toilets, bathrooms or water supply and wastewater system rehabilitation or construction.
• Ensuring the safety of workers / beneficiaries.
• Collecting data on the completed work for final reports.
• Reporting the complete construction activity to the WASH Activity Manager.
The Construction of the Pan Arab Highway, Mdairej-Chtoura-Taanayel Section Lot “A”
In Charge of:
• Supervising all site works and delegating activities & Inspection of works at site.
The project contains 3 Via Ducts, 12 Overpasses and Underpasses including all kinds of Pile Foundations and Structural works, Shoring Systems like Retaining Walls, Sheet Piling, Earth Walls, and also Infrastructures like Pavement works, Asphalt Concreting, Base Courses, Cross-Drainage works, Box Culverts, Water Ditches, Water Networking, New Jersey Barriers and other works related to Civil Engineering.
• Monitoring the performance of the contractor on site, in accordance with the engineering, technical requirements and the conditions of contract.
• Supervising all the necessary laboratory tests like taking and crushing cylinders, making test experiments like Field Density, Sand Equivalent Test, Sieve Analysis, Mix Design of Concrete and others.
• Controlling all steel and concrete works on site in order to have a proper construction.
• Controlling all drainage works like installing pipes and water networks.
• Reviewing and correction of architectural, structural and coordinated shop drawings.
• Reviewing of material submittals, method Statements, pouring requests and test results.
• Calculating quantities and reviewing BOQs for some structural works in the project.
• Seeking answers for Contractor’s requests for information.
• Recommending the acceptance or refusal of any work completed by the Contractor.
• Preparing daily and monthly progress reports and performing day by day track of works.
In Charge of:
• Helping students in the Civil Engineering Lab.
• Making test experiments like Mix Design, Sand Equivalent Test, Sieve Analysis, Los Angeles Test, Field Density, Crushing Cylinders and other tests.
• Helping students to make reports for all the experiments.
• Teaching in the class when there is no Instructor.
• Helping the students in their senior projects.
• Correcting exams with the Instructor.
• Reviewing the Engineering codes for the students and helping them in their projects.
• Attending conferences about Engineering courses and codes.
Upgrading of Hazmieh-Saoufar International Road, Baalchmay-Saoufar (Section 3)
In Charge of:
• Controlling the site works by ensuring workflow as indicated.
The project contains all kinds of Drainage Networks and Pavement works, in addition to Structural works like Sheet Piling, Retaining Walls, Box Culverts, Water Ditches and the main project was constructing a Tunnel for Bhamdoun Interchange.
• Attending all concrete pouring sessions.
• Preparing formwork drawings and shop drawings.
• Preparing bar bending schedules and technical reports.
