After the launch of Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) low cost housing scheme by the Government of Pakistan, a dedicated position of Manager G-MSS was created at HO to handle MPMG. In this scheme, subsidy is a foremost and important part for customers, Banks and the Government. As Manager G-MSS, preparing, submitting & reconciling Subsidy Claims with
Internal Audit and SBP is performed primarily apart from liaising PMRC for MPMG portfolio coverage and furnishing periodic MIS. My responsibilities also include managing SBP’s Complaint
Portal on G-MSS, coordination with all designated branches to comply with the Mystery Shopping parameters set by SBP, compiling and submitting periodical MPMG MIS (Weekly/ Fortnightly/ Monthly/ Quarterly) to SBP.
Being part of Ameen Islamic product team, remain engaged in launching of Al Ameen Islami Fixed Term Fund to Ubl Ameen branch network customers.

KSE (Now PSX) branch was placed under Treasury in August 2007 to expand business in the stock markets. I was hired in line with Bank’s new objectives and successfully achieved assigned targets and goals by creating new business opportunities, multiplying assets and liabilities portfolio,
developing new front line customer relationships, building a good team and improving Bank’s image at the exchange.
Won best branch award for the year 2014 in TBM 2015.
At the branch, also performed Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) role for the assets portfolio. The portfolio consisted of financing against shares to stock brokers and the SRM role involves the following functions:-
Preparation of Business Credit Applications including the front and operational sheets,
financial analysis, risk analysis, financial spreads and credit risk grades for the renewal of facilities extended to existing and new relationships.
UBL was custodian/investment banker of KSE Ltd for their T-bills/PIBs transactions at
Primary/Secondary Market and all the activities were facilitated through the branch.
The Stock Exchange branch again made part of Retail Banking in December 2012.

To keep its existing clientele of the stock market and generate additional business, the job was assigned to me as a special task by the top management. With the establishment of Treasury by the Bank in 2002, skillful staff was selected from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad for capital market department at Head Office, Karachi. I was selected for back office operations from Islamabad and accepted the challenge of relocation to Karachi.
Organized the capital market department within the shortest time and performed the functions of Head of Capital Markets Settlement for 5 years satisfactorily before and after ownership transfer of the Bank to Ibrahim Group in August 2004. Also performed limited functions of Middle Office in absence of the said department at that time. Actively participated in preparation and final approval of bank’s first Capital Market Settlement Procedural Manual. Also remained a team member of newly contracted T 24 Core Banking system implementation project. Trained Bank’s
staff for capital market operations.

Allied Bank Limited had memberships at Lahore & Islamabad Stock Exchanges but the bank was operating at Lahore only apart from running a branch there. As per the management aspiration, I accepted challenge of entry to a new field (Capital Markets), got training for two months at LSE, relocated to Islamabad and activated membership at ISE; successfully accomplished the job by running brokerage business for clients’ and Bank’s investments in Badla financing viz a viz opening of a new banking branch within ISE premises. Acted as registered agent of the Bank with SECP and trained Bank’s staff for brokerage house activities.
