- Biomass power plant 35MW (150TPH boiler)
- Production line expansion (PM6 & PM7)
- Infrastructure development
Following are my responsibilities as Project Civil Engineer:
- Preparing and updating plans for work packages covering scope, time, cost, quality, communications, risk, resources, procurement and stakeholders.
- Developed and using an integrated Daily Monitoring System for efficient monitoring and control of work packages.
- Defining scope of work, calculating budget and preparing tenders for award of work packages.
- Preparing and finalizing contracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Evaluating work packages progress through Earned Value Management and S-curves.
- Identifying and reporting time and cost based impacts levied on work packages.
Following were my major responsibilities:
- Engaged with senior management and sales resources to design bid strategy, analyze client requirements and assemble a solution suite that showcased a capability to deliver.
- Responsible for making accurate estimation of direct and indirect costs including material, manpower, consumables and equipment.
Major proposals prepared for following project tenders:
- Construction of New Khanki Barrage, Pakistan (USD 250 mil.)
- Rehabilitation of Jinnah Barrage, Pakistan (USD 130 mil.)
- Construction of Deep Water Terminal Port, Pakistan (USD 120 mil.)
- Construction of Metro Bus, Lahore, Pakistan (USD 82 mil.)
- Construction of southern and marina interchanges, Lusail, Qatar
- Earthworks for Qatar metro packages
Responsibilities included on site progress management of the project. Presentations for progress reporting on daily basis for the project sewage system. Estimation of Bill of Quanitities from the contractor's regular Interim Payment Certificates as part of supervision.
The main responsibilties included assisting in the areas of project planning and progress monitoring for achieving critical project objectives through regular coordination. Professional construction managment tools used such as Primevera Project Planner and Microsoft Project were learned to enterprise level during the internship in addition to gaining valuable exposure in dealing with several internal and external clients and vendors especially regarding Pre-engineered buildings.
Interened twice at Tetra Pak Pakistan in sophomore and junior year for a combined duration of 9 months.
