I was recruited at Ethiopian Airlines as a part time agent in May while I was still studying at the University to assist passengers in the airport, at the check-in counter, on the boarding gates and in the executive lounges. I also had the opportunity to be a Shebamiles agent, Shebamiles being the Ethiopian Airlines frequent flyers program. In this field I had the responsibility of signing up new members, thus companying for the program.
I worked at the Ethiopian Television part time since I was still in University studying management in a long distance program. In the French news department I had the responsibilities of translating and editing the news, recording it and setting it up for broadcasting. Furthermore I had a program featuring Ethiopian history and culture once or twice a week. While on job I also received a brief training for an anchor position.
