Managing Supply Chain for 10 markets (Middle East & North Africa)
Responsible for Demand Planning & Inventory Management for Coffee’s, Beverage ingredients, Paper items, Small ware & Merchandise
Ensure recommended order is in line with the target inventory
Placing orders with supplier from Europe, US & Far East Asia
Provide forecast to supplier monthly for on time fulfilment of orders
Coordinate with Marketing, Category & Operations to ensure forecast accuracy and avoid out of stocks or excess inventories
Provide forecast to Logistics/Warehouse monthly for space and man power planning
Provide estimate of cash out flows to Finance Dept to enable future monthly payments to suppliers
Plan promotional stock orders as per schedule launch dates
Supply Chain Ramp Up & Ramp Down (New beverage ingredient) for markets to ensure minimal write off
Coordinate with Alshaya Logistics, Freight forwarders Sea(DAMCO, DHL Global forwarding) & Road(Danzas) for updates on the shipment moving across the 10 markets
Provide Landed cost price for new products to category to plan the selling price
Provide reports to management weekly/monthly
Managing stocks for Business Alliance and Casual Dining
Subsistence Prime Vendor contract supply of food and related items to the US Military in Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan by the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Supply Chain
Continually review and analyze Supply Chain status
Coordinate with Procurement team on order quantities and delayed orders. Flag issues emerging and propose timely responses to reduce the need for emergency situations.
Liaise with Procurement and Customer Service staff on potential NIS situations.
Facilitate inventory management to achieve optimum stock levels, through demand planning using forecasting tools.
Demand forecasting information to facilitate supplier production and inventory planning.
Material Requisition ( ABC analysis)
NIS Lead Time for corrective action.
Excess stock review.
Provide detailed reports to management to assist with the decision making process with regard to Supply Chain improvement.
Logistics
Container Tracking
Planning / Scheduling Containers Movement from port to Agility Facility.
Planning / Scheduling Container for outbound P2P shipments.
Coordinating with Warehouse operations, Transportation and Freight Departments on the inbound and outbound shipments via Land, Air & Sea.
Updating all concerned parties at origin and destination on the status of shipments.
Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly and monthly reporting
Inventory Control
To manage expiry of inventory and mitigate any high risk inventory.
Facilitate coordination with warehouse for smooth resolution of issues.
Monitor catalogue updates(addition/deletions)
Review/coordinate claims and disposals with insurance & claims manager or suppliers.
Monitor and oversee stock transfers in consultation with PV Management team and the warehouse operation team.
Verify inventory accuracy, flag discrepancies, identify root cause and coordinate with warehouse operations team to resolve discrepancies.
