I worked as an architect at Cosider (national company in Algeria) for one year, where I learnt how to discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements and budget of a project, use IT in design and project management, specifically using Revit as a design software, keep within financial budgets and deadlines, produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications, specify the nature and quality of materials required, project manage and help to coordinate the work of contractor and finally, carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget.
during my master studies, I studied several topics such as: construction, safety, health and environment; ICT Application in construction management; professional ethics in construction practice; project planning and development; strategic management in construction; construction organizational; value management; construction law and procurement; construction technology; project financing and finally project management. These topics allow me to have the expertise needed to effectively lead a construction project or business, technical proficiency, the financial knowledge, the entrepreneurial skills, and the business acumen needed for success in this ever-evolving industry, Requirements for bringing construction projects to successful completion, including estimating, cost control, risk, new technologies, project planning, scheduling, negotiation, and labour relations. In addition, several case studies took place where I interviewed contractors and firms about different topic in construction and come up with reports and presentation.
Studying architecture in my bachelor degree allows me to acquire the bases of architectural culture, course of architecture and city, territory and landscape, architectural history course, sociology, art history, construction technics, structure, urbanism and other complementary subject such as physics and mathematics
