 Developing overall logistics strategy and business plan to maximize the company’s assets, increase profit, reduce cost, and mitigate risk.
 Spearheading Bahrain, Khobar, Riyadh, and Jeddah offices while liaising with other GCC offices to expand regional products’ market presence.
 Maintaining a product P&L statement with emphasis on the cost factor as well as revenue generating operations.
 Overseeing kingdom-wide ground transportation for Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, including delivery of import/export ocean freight, airfreight, in-kingdom shipments, and heavy haul.
 Managing subcontractors to optimize performance, exceed KPIs and safety/quality standards, and maintain consistent cost structures.
 Processing invoices from subcontractors for either payment or rejection (discrepancy clarification).
 Managing all customs clearance issues to ensure that cargo moves properly through their appropriate channels, addressing issues to improve timeliness, and implementing action plans that minimize delays and unnecessary charges.
 Responsible for all procurement, operations, and strategic planning of materials lay-down yards and warehousing (4 walls). Monitoring inventory levels, gate flow, space utilization, materials layout orientation, and safety requirements to ensure effective and productive operations.
 Providing detailed reports to the corporate office regarding volumes, activities, P&L, and forecasts/projections.

Achievements
 Created a materials lay-down yard structure resulting in net profit of approximately $2M in the first year.
 Implemented an internal trucking system currently generating gross profit of approximately $35, 000/month.

 Managed traffic and logistics for multiple projects, including international, domestic FTL and LTL shipments, super-loads/heavy haul, airfreight, vessel charters, break-bulk and rail shipments.
 Monitored shipments to ensure on time and safe delivery of cargo while fulfilling schedules and safety guidelines. Handled a small team of three members.
 Processed invoices for traffic and logistics while ensuring timely payment to vendors.
 Submitted cost savings and expenditure reports to the project manager. Tracked payments made by researching invoices in the SAP system.
 Coordinated with the purchasing and the expediting group to ensure proper Incoterm usage and wording on purchase orders.
 Collaborated with materials and warehouse groups for shipping and receiving cargo.
 Prepared warehouse design and layout on previous projects while monitoring inventory, pick and pull, cargo deconsolidation and segregation and cargo delivery.
 Established project roles to meet objectives while providing updates to the senior management.

Project Experience
 KU Projects, Ghent and Harrodsburg, Kentucky - Oversaw entire logistics and procurement, including international and domestic routes, rail work, airfreight, and domestic super loads.
 TXU Project, Oak Grove, Texas - Assisted in international and domestic routing of cargo while processing invoices.
 ALCOA Project - Managed cargo routing during project closure.
 Cabana Bay Project - Assisted in routing of all international cargo as well as processing and issuing bills of lading. Coded bills of lading with tariff codes and appropriate customs information including SEDs.
 LOGCAP IV, Afghanistan - As a senior logistics coordinator/supervisor, supervised a team of six handling all inbound/outbound cargo via commercial airfreight, military airfreight, commercial trucking/containers, and military transport. Responsible for the main base at Kandahar and eight forward operating bases. Assisted the warehousing team in designing lay-down area to facilitate loading/offloading trucks.
 Pueblo Viejo Project, Dominican Republic - As a logistics lead, managed entire supply chain operations from the US and other international locations. Handled all airfreight, ocean freight, domestic freight, and heavy haul loads. Monitored Matman input for accuracy.
 Hebron Project - Functioned as a UPM logistics lead.
