• Managing and directing the day-to-day drilling and workover operations at the mature Statfjord field in the North Sea.
• Challenging well drilling with 6-7 thick coal layers in all wells and highly depleted formations with potential for total loss situations when running liner, taking pressure points, or displacing well to completion fluid.
• Outmost important to continuously analyzing drilling data to identify possibilities for improving drilling efficiency and minimizing risk.
• Successfully prepared case counts and calculations for cement and displacement operations, casing tallies, pressure tests and so on.
• Planned and coordinated logistics operations for personnel, services and materials as required to support operations.
• Updated risk registers and ensured changes to programs were risk assessed, mitigated, and signed off before distributed to crew.
• Member of the OIM offshore organization emergency response team; facilitated Well Control Forum for incident experience transfer.
