rainwater from the taxiways and aprons of Heathrow terminal 2 aircraft stands. The work included the installation of
approximately 5700 metres of concrete pipes varying between 750mm and 1200mm in diameter in single and twin pipe
configurations. Including construction 16 large manholes to provide access to the drainage system.
Terminal 5 : The major expansion of Heathrow was one of the largest and most complex infrastructure and construction
projects in Europe, It comprised a complex web of 16 major interconnecting projects and 140 sub-projects. The scope of the
project included the 270, 000m? main terminal building, two satellite buildings (each the size of Terminal 4), a new 87 meter
high control tower and supporting infrastructure works.
Terminal 5 was delivered on time and on budget with an overall 200 million Saving for BAA.
Project Role - Senior Project Manager, site based working as part of an integrated project team responsible for overseeing
steel structure and façade works throughout different envelope packages contained within the construction of terminal 2A & 5
Managing a project staff of 84 and an operations resource peaking at circa 5480 including sub contractors.
