New 20" Gas Oil Pipeline from MAA to New Gas Turbine Station at Subiyah Power Station Approx.230 Kms of pipeline & associated civil works, & miscellaneous buildings inclusive of Control Room in MAA and Consumer network Building in Subiyah. Prepared Tender packages for Company review approval, recommendation and award. Undertook Tender evaluation and bid assessment. Reviewed Tenders & issued clarifications. Prepared and drafted recommendation for award with Project management Team. Prepared and issued of Final Contract Documents. Responsible for general Contracts administration, writing of contractual correspondences, defining contract strategy & advising Project Management on all contractual issues / potential claims. Multi discipline project involving Civils - (foundations & infrastructure), installation testing & commissioning of all Mechanical Equipment, piping, E & I works, Desalination Units (4 Nos), Boilers (2 Nos), fabrication & erection of structural steelwork & painting / insulation.
Drafted, researched & prepared the initial claim notice / variation document. Thereafter, participated at site in Bahrain, & with claim preparation in Germany through to project completion & financial close out. Responsible for variation order, claims management, claims team member who drafted the Claim & substantiating documents, and facts for Legal counsel responsible for negotiations / arbitration proceedings.
The Claim succeeded in securing a multi million Euro settlement, EOT, and waiving of Liquidated damages. Claim did not go to arbitration. Responsible to Company CEO, Project Director, Bahrain in country Gen. Mngr / MD / Company legal representative.
