Process & review all purchase requisitions from all Project Sites, Business Units, Central Stores, and ensures that all information’s are correct (part nos., item description, quantity, job allocation/project no., costing and project budget) and clear through the use of customized PR & Inventory system software.
•Sends out inquiries for price quotations, material availability and delivery of the items from local and overseas, and prepare price comparison with recommendations.
•Negotiate all the prices and terms for all types of purchases, and ensure that all specifications are correct, and commercial terms were agreed.
•Meeting with current and potential suppliers.
•Placing Local Purchase Orders as per agreed terms and defined delivery dates to ensure that project budgets are met.
•Follow up and ensure that material has been delivered on agreed delivery date.
•Update and tracks outstanding orders and their usage; checks for damage deliveries and ensure that all materials meets the site, consultant and client requirements.
•Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required
•Hands on experience in Import & Export Documentation, JAFZA custom policy and procedures.
•Liaise with Shipping Lines / Airlines regarding arrival of shipments and collection of necessary documents for the same.
•Passing necessary customs documentation for local clearances (from Jebel Ali Free zone).
•Negotiate the best freight rate available in the market and nominating shipping agents for FOB, FCA & EX-WORKS Shipments.
•Prioritizing and scheduling urgent shipment to deliver within the required lead time.
•Verify and follow up with the Vendors for shipping documents.

•Coordinate with forwarder & courier companies for cargo collection and advice accordingly where it needs to be dispatched.
