Conduct research and analysis on European oil mid-/downstream markets as regional expert and later a European
biofuels/climate expert. Aid subscription activities by performing data and policy research analysis and forecasting
on oil product market structure, supply and demand, infrastructure, and marketing information. Track policy and
technology developments (international organizations, public, private, academic actors). Coordinate and participate
in conferences such as CERA Week and Biofuels/Petrochemical seminars. Facilitate supply-demand modelling and
scenario-building. Develop strong and effective client relationships through processing of client requests, meetings,
and presentations. Organize and maintain databases (supply & demand, vehicle, retail). Promote subscription-
based services through client meetings/presentations. Recruited, trained, and developed junior analysts.
Key Accomplishments:
▪ Consulted (in conjunction with the consulting teams) on selected studies such as ”EU Bio and Renewable
Diesel Supply Chain Analysis” (policy review, trade balances, feedstock trade), Reinventing the Aircraft and
the Ship which explored the future of aviation (carbon policy review) and market studies and industry
reports, Due to diligence reports (refinery infrastructure overview, vehicle fleet analysis).
▪ Prepared and delivered detailed and insightful memos on “The European Green Deal - Deal or No Deal?
What’s next and the impact of COVID-19 on European green policies” and “Diesel bans in Germany: A
confirmation of diesel’s fall from grace?”
▪ Collaborated with climate services team of IHS Markit to establish new in-depth analysis on the European
Green Deal, as well as on the impact of COVID-19 on European green/low-carbon policies (to assist clients
with navigating through COVID-19 crisis) and the effect climate policies have on the transport sector.
▪ Advanced environmental regulatory section in the country profile subscription format to include more
climate-related developments and biofuels section in country profile subscription format to adapt to new
or current market developments.
▪ Developed internal training program for analysts to increasing team satisfaction and built a strong team
spirit through the organization of inclusion and diversity events (carrying out of satisfaction surveys,
events).
▪ Taught German in the context of corporate sustainability initiative to help staff develop new skills.
