Actively involved to support to USAID/DOE and GoP in implementing a sustainable, multi-stakeholder-based permanent national Integrated Energy Planning (IEP) capability to improve strategic and operational planning and policy making in the energy sector, expedite necessary investments, and help define an optimal development pathway and energy mix for the country, including viable indigenous and renewable energy resource use
Extensively participated in developing and maintaining EV model for conducting the fuel supply chain impact of electric vehicles in Pakistan. Provide support for conducting training sessions and online webinars to all the stakeholders. Develop and maintain databases for support of IEP process.
My other responsibilities also include advising, suggesting, monitoring and controlling of different trackers such as RFA tracker (Request for Assistance), RE tracker (Renewable Energy), and other support systems under various technical components along with to provide project management support for various tasks.

Key project handled: Developed ‘Pakistan Energy Model’ (PEM) to forecast country’s overall energy requirement for the future years at variable GDP growth levels, crude oil price scenarios and other economic factors.

Project brief: PEM is capable of generation of separate forecast for electricity, gas, LPG, coal and petroleum products at a given GDP growth. Power module converts the electricity demand into fuels using the economic dispatch order and considering the future generation expansion plans for generating electricity. PEM calculates the projected energy import bill based on fuel imports with respect to indigenous energy productions and alternate fuel switching.

- Responsible for updating, calibrating and enhancing Pakistan Energy Model.
- Familiar with other energy models like LEAP and MARKAL/TIMES.
- Conducted many economic, financial and other energy supply and demand studies for Asian Development Bank (ADB), The World Bank, Government of Pakistan and other multinational oil and gas firms.
