I started my career of as an Apprentice service Technician in the motor trade working for brands such as GM shortly after I came out of my Apprenticeship I entered the wind industry working off-shore as a Technician for Dong Energy at London Array.
Since I have been working off-shore my day to day tasks have been from doing annual servicing on Siemens 3.6 MW to replacement of faulty components from blown delta units to cooling fans and valves and much more.
As a Wind Technician I have been trained on latch ways fall arrest systems to maintain and if need be to replace them if they have failed the required safety checks.
As a Wind Technician here at Dong Energy we take time to push are views forward to the safety committee on how H&S can be improved not just at London Array but at others too.
I have had many meeting and courses on H&S and I stride to help improve the safety into the wind industry.
