• Identify and respond to the protection needs, to mitigate the threats faced by the community:
Maintain a regular contact with the community to keep following up on any new challenges and how to mitigate it through community-based approach activities, consultations, capacity buildings, collecting data…
Identify cases under ECA activity in the field and providing cash to eligible persons to mitigate protection threat(s)
Support the team in the payments under Facilitating Access to Services activity and doing the needed monitoring assessments data collection
Working closely with FPs and the communities ensuring they know they rights and how they can reach their needs by disseminating information session about safe accessing to services and disseminating hotlines numbers.

• working closely to empower women, build their capacities and ensuring inclusiveness:
Working closely with women groups and focal points in the field and give them the space to freely share their concerns and challenges they are facing, what self-protection measures they are taking, how we as Oxfam can support them in developing these measures working on a community initiative collected from women themselves.
Conducting joint visits with NABAD for women groups for community initiatives and implementing the protection activities and capacity building in accordance of Oxfam SOPs.
Joining Kafa in their activities that are women-focused



• Working with the community to implement community-based protection activities:
Working on identifying ECA cases, cash disbursement and PDMs for the ECA cases.
FAS activity implementation including payments, checking cases at the field with the focal points and PDMs.
conducting joint field visits with the partners
Collecting data on field level such as protection monitoring, monthly meeting with FP, any needed assessment or FGD.
Participate in working with the youth groups through holding meetings, sessions, trainings… according to the set guidelines.
Report any protection incidents or trends from the field.


4.Team management for the protection assistant:

Providing technical support by conducting joint field visit
delegating tasks and following up on them
making sure that every task and everything is clear through regular discussions
making sure to be supportive whenever a challenge is faced,
holding regular one to one meeting to make sure that everything is going well.To listen to the concerns raised and make sure that the protection assistant remains motivated.
