• Monitor all reciprocating/ static equipment sets and provide support to all equipment.
• Manage operations budget to ensure minimal production cost and optimal product quality.
• Review production processes and procedures to ensure they operate at the highest possible efficiency.
• Collaborate with health/safety managers to develop and implement safety policies for general plant operations.
• Oversee the hiring and training of operations personnel to ensure a capable workforce.
• Carry out research to discover ways of improving existing operational processes.
• Liaise with purchasing managers to develop and improve supplier relationships.
• Conduct employee performance appraisals to identify areas of limitation to provide coaching and guidance.
• Delegate and assign work tasks to production staff to achieve set manufacturing targets.
• Optimize production process by eliminating wastes and other constraints to improve work efficiency.
• Oversee the long-term planning and initiatives geared towards enhanced operations.
• Prepare and submit to upper management regular reports of plant operations.
• Maintain a positive trust relationship with suppliers to ensure a constant flow of required raw materials.
• Ensure timely and effective delivery of goods to clients.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure proper storage of received raw materials.
• Utilize cost-benefit analytical techniques in improving operational efficiency.
• Develop and embedding robust systems of working in the operations department within the facility.
• Contribute to the long-term vision of supporting the TPM strategy across the facility.
• Responsible for safety, compliance, budgeting, reliability, and all other aspects of plant operations
• Provides direction to operational/maintenance personnel, schedules shift resources and manages staffing issues.
• Provides leadership for and the development of direct reports to embrace a culture of strong fundamentals of operation and maintenance.
• Embraces human performance improvement initiatives.
• Assures that plant operations/maintenance personnel comply with safe work practices and processes, comply with plant procedures, and efficiently and effectively operate and maintain the plant equipment.
• Develops procedures, checklists, and performance measures to monitor process controls to ensure that all operations, maintenance, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled within the staff.
• Develops, implements, and maintains a high standard of performance using operational procedures, operations rounds/trending, shift turnover, protection system functionality, system descriptions, maintenance procedures, etc.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external interfaces and key strategic alliance partners.
• Maintains an awareness of the latest industry research and practical application to drive continuous improvements.
• Provides and supports budget/project development and cost control for short-range work plans and long-range strategic planning.
• Prepares and manages a budget in assigned areas to leverage our financial process to manage deviations from the approved annual budget.
• Initiates and provides leadership in respect to contract management/contractor oversight for routine and outage work.
• Evaluates and champions gap closure actions that are consistent with the company's overall business strategy.
DESCRIPTIONS:
Effectively contribute to the tactical and strategic planning and
implementation plans including material requirements, labor resource
planning, and vehicle availability for maintenance, testing, and repair
activities
Support ready for operations activities when required such as
maintenance planning of the unit.
Perform maintenance/repair activities and evaluation for Generators
(C1750N5C Cummins’s Gen. Tech. & 638A6S Skoda 2270 KVA bifuel,
Diesel engines, pumps, valves, pipes, boilers, cooling towers,
mechanical drive systems and other mechanical installation in a safe
manner.
Troubleshooting and diagnosis of systems and mechanical faults on
Diesel engines (Cummin’s, Skoda, Perkins, Mercedez, DAF), pumps,
compressors, piping and products pipeline.
Carryout routine checks on the machinery and equipment testing to
ensure compliance to specifications and standards.
Managed company’s Fleet (truck, car & forklift) by preparing
preventive maintenance plan, schedule, and programs for all plant
machinery and equipment.
Provide technical support to operators, technicians, to achieve zero
downtime of the equipment.
Prepare work order for the assigned task by head of department /
Project Manager and ensure this task is completed as desired to
improve all plant efficiency.
Supervises fabrication and construction work at the project site and
ensured that workers and sub Contractor’s comply with Health,
Safety and Environment guidelines and regulations.
Coordinate products offloading, ullage in Tank farm and prepare
Tank status report to analyze products daily consumption of the
Plant and company’s fleets.
Prepare monthly equipment status report and advise the Power
house Manager on overhauling matter.
Recommend the purchase of spare parts, diesel oil / other lubricant
and review annually the stock of spare parts utilization and submits
recommendation to the Manager for approval to adjust the inventory
Participate in quarterly safety meetings and training..
DESCRIPTIONS
Coordination and control of plant heavy equipment (Excavators,
Back-hoe loaders, Bulldozers, Motor graders, Trenchers, Scrapers,
Dump trucks, Side steer loader, heavy duty trailers/ hydraulic lift low
loaders, Forklifts and materials.
Preparing Task reports, SOPs, JSA, PTW and WOs.
Conducting preventive and routine maintenance checks and repairs
on all aforementioned equipment..
Planning equipment upgrades and machine modifications
Repair and overhauling of engines, axles and transmissions (Handson).
Provide troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on
heavy construction equipment
Work with diesel and gas engines, as well as hydraulics.
Perform basic welding functions as needed
Participate in weekly safety meetings.
Travelling to company sites across country and attending to breakdowns
Drawing up and implementation of work schedules and SOPs.
Procurement of new components for existing equipment, or replacing
the entire set of machines after a prescribed period of usage is
complete.
