Sharekhan is India’s leading online retail broking house.Sharekhan today has a pan-India presence with over 1, 529 outlets serving 950, 000 customers across 450 cities. It also has international presence through its branches in the UAE and Oman. I worked as an intern and reported to the Branch Manager and Assistant Sales Manager.
Main responsibilities included:
-Preparing presentations and analyzing equity research reports of listed companies.
-Assisting brokers to obtain firsthand experience of both on-line and offline trading in derivatives and stocks.
-Assisting back office staff for administration and IT related work.
-Communicating and maintaining healthy relationships with the clients.
-Quickly responding to clients' queries.
Passed the Level 1 Examination in January 2012. Passed the Level 2 Examination in July 2012. Passed the Level 3 Examination in August 2014 - Awaiting charter
• Achieved the top graduate award for the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. • Secured a place in the University of Wollongong in Dubai’s Dean’s List 2010 for scoring in the top 5% in the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. • Granted academic scholarships for Autumn 2009, Spring 2010 and Autumn 2010 semesters at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. • Granted a scholarship for excelling in junior and senior school from St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Dubai. Also received an O-Level Merit Certificate.
