Key responsibilities:
Plant Performance Management:
• Power plant and Desalination plant performance monitoring, evaluation and analysis.
• Develop performance improvement strategies to optimize energy utilization.
• Construct heat and material balance for various equipment in plant.
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly plant performance reports and tracking KPI.
• Finding opportunities for improvement in operational and maintenance practices to improve plant performance and co-ordinate with the O & M team to modify the procedures.
• Discussing the plant performance issues in daily morning meeting with O & M team and provide the solution to improve the plant performance.
• Planning and conducting regular plant performance test, annual pre outage and post outage performance tests and reporting performance improvements to management.
• Planning, coordinating and conducting the annual net dependable capacity test (NDCT) for guaranteed performance and facility capacities as per PWPA. Preparing NDCT test report and reporting to senior management.
• Develops data for implementation of energy management program with the prime objective of improving plant reliability and performance
• Monitoring operational performance of the power plant to identify safety, financial and production risks and assist with determining mitigating actions; including the identification of opportunities to improve facility performance and shareholder value.
• Provide Performance and commercial awareness training to operation and maintenance team and spread awareness about plant performance.
• Preparing and updating performance and commercial procedures.
Production & Resources Forecasting, Planning and scheduling
• Developing, monitoring and reporting plant technical KPI and Finance KPI to management.
• Daily, monthly and annual Power and Water generation planning based on plant security, efficiency, reliability and availability.
• Preparing weekly, monthly and 5 years planning and forecast for fuel gas supply, Sea water and chemical requirements as per supply agreement.
• Daily communication and coordination with Fuel gas, Sea water and chemicals supplier. Auditing and reconciliation for effective usage of resources.
• Budget planning and forecast preparation for next 5 years.
• Performing monthly technical and financial KPI variance analysis.
• Monthly technical and finance KPI variance analysis and reporting to management.
• Prepare strategic planning for plant operations and maintenance according to the OEM guidelines and best engineering practices.
• Planning & coordination for conducting dependable capacity test and report submission.
• EOH planning for outages and calculation of availability, reliability and heat rate for contractual service agreement (CSA).
Commercials Key responsibilities:
• Preparation of annual, short term and long term revenue and dispatch models with monthly tracking and forecasting.
• Managing Power and water purchase agreement (PWPA), Fuel gas supply, Sea water supply and Environment agreements.
• Online and offline invoice generation for power and water dispatch according to power & water purchase agreement (PWPA).Managing Fuel Demand Module (FDM) & iPass calculations for online invoicing system.
• Preparing additional invoices for Sea water ( Billed but not consumed), Chemicals, Land lease agreement, Fuel supply agreement (Annual take or pay), GT & ST start-ups charges, Pass through invoices (O & M for power bays) & other invoices as per PWPA.
• Verifications of monthly fuel gas invoice, sea water consumption invoice, gas turbine LTMC (Long term maintenance Contract) invoice for gas turbines with Siemens.
• Approval of monthly invoices quantity and values under PWPA, Sea water supply and O & M agreement. Also verifying invoices raised by the fuel gas and sea water supplier.
Division : Plant operations
Plant Details Combine Cycle Power Plant - 2000 MW with 6 nos 9FA GE Gas Turbine
(6x 255.6 MW Capacity) DLN 2+ Combustor & 2x C7GE Steam turbines
(2 x 241 MW Capacity).
* Worked with plant commissioning team during plant phase-1 commissioning and
coordinated for startup /shutdown activities and successful execution of PG test.
* Responsibilities includes safe and efficient operations of Gas turbines, HRSG, Steam
Turbine, Balance of plant, RO plant and handling operational emergency situation the plant.
* Isolation sand de-isolations of HRSG, GT, ST, Low and High capacity Pumps, 220KV and
33 KV switch yards, Transformers, Circuit Breakers, 415V busbar.
* Preparing and modifying operating procedures and emergency procedures.
* Raising plant Mechanical and Electrical defects for maintenance to confirm availability.
* Preparing and maintaining reports regarding Daily shift log sheet.
* Raising Environment, Health and Safety “Hazards Notifications” and ensuring it attained.
* Raising “Near-miss” in the plant and ensuring the cause is eliminated

* Combine cycle plant pre commissioning performance using GATE cycle and transient
analysis of plant operations using HYSIS software.
* Analysis for technical operation and test results to increase plant efficiency. Conducting
performance analysis of combine cycle power plant.
* Evaluation of plant utilities consumption, analysis of individual equipment operating
efficiency, economic operation, and energy management solutions.
* Operating condition analysis support for the engineering department during implementation
of plant improvement engineering projects
* Analysis of the site issues on Balance of Plant and GT, ST accessories & interacting with
customers to solve the equipment troubles.
* Optimization of GT and ST - Balance of Plant System, Preparing P & IDs and sending it to
vendors for the fabrications and interacting with vendors.
* Preparing technical specifications of GT and ST accessories and getting quotes for various
power plant systems, Piping from vendor and doing selection on cost analysis

* Key responsibilities include driving and managing energy efficiency activities, project
execution, co-ordination and team management.
* Feasibility studies for conducting energy management projects. Environment aspect and
impact studies for pollution in new sites. Identifying and prioritizing energy saving measures
and analyzing technical & financial feasibility of energy saving measures
* Played a key role in collecting & evaluating the data on operating parameters, developed the
energy savings proposals, formulated detailed energy savings, study reports and
successfully monitored/verified the implementation of proposals.
* Energy audit experience on Coal fired Boilers, steam turbines, gas turbines, HRSG, steam
and condensate, Insulation, Compressed air, pumps, blowers, Condensers & cooling
towers.Hands on experience of Energy audit project conducted in process industries,
petrochemical industries and power industries. Preparing energy audit reports and reporting
to customers, presentations to customers on energy audit projects implementations,
investment and payback. Coordinating for energy conservation project implementations

Plant Details : 655 MW Combine cycle power plant with 3X 138 MW Siemens V94.2
GTs and 1 x 241 MW Siemens steam turbine.
* Key responsibilities include safe and Efficient Operations of Gas Turbines, Boilers, Steam
Turbines& 220KV and 400KV switchyard Operations from Control room (DCS operations).
* Handling Operational emergencies and restoring plant back to normal operating conditions.
* Daily Log sheet preparations, Preparing/ updating operating procedures.
