helping pupils learn about history, geography, politics, economics, and culture. I typically integrate current events into their lessons and also facilitate healthy debates and engaging classroom discussions. I am culturally sensitive, I work to create a classroom where everyone is respected.
Plan, initiate and guide the study of units of study in French which involve speaking, listening, writing, and reading
Create assessments (including comprehensive semester exams), evaluate those assessments, and promptly grade those assessments and each student’s other work (assignments, presentations, etc.)

French teachers understand the difficulty of language acquisition and display a love of teaching and a passion for the language that serves to motivate and encourage students. Language teachers must be rabid Francophiles with a strong knowledge of French culture and history. According to Kenyon College, approximately 45% of the English vocabulary is derived from French, so a good sense of English grammar and vocabulary is also helpful.

The Philosophy major provides in-depth study of fundamental issues that inescapably confront all persons. Topics Include: ethics, social and political philosophy, and aesthetics— study of the good life, justice, and beauty; metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion— study of the nature of reality, mind, body, and the meaning of life and death; epistemology, philosophy of science, and logic— study of the nature of knowledge, truth, objectivity, and principles of sound reasoning; and, subjects such as comparative philosophies and world cultures, philosophy of race, feminist theory, and philosophical issues in technology, language, education, and the professions of law, business, medicine, communications, engineering, and agriculture.
