Greeting customers and directing them to available mechanics. Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs. Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up. Providing customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and the advantages of trading in versus fixing their car. Managing and overseeing the dealerships workflow and schedule. Calling customers to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times. ® Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payments. Liaising with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.
Check vehicles to ensure compliance with state inspection require ments. Perform routine automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and . tire rotations. Identify pre-existing and potential vehicle malfunctions. Work with manufacturers to order inventory. Consistently meet deadlines for completed work. Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil chang es, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations. Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair. Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers problems and provide accurate repair recommenda tions. Inspect vehicles according to the states requirements for emissions and safety. Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness.
