I am an Elementary school teacher since 1987, assigned at different intervals at different positions within the Elementary school system of Jamaica
I have been in teaching for approximately 35 years, trained in 33 areas including Science, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies and Literacy. I have taught all the grades at the primary level, and have also served at different leadership levels, however, I am presently assigned to teach Mathematics to Grades 4 and 5; and, Science to Grade 5 only. In addition, I offer private tuition at the Tertiary level and am also responsible for an evening class program in Kingston for adults as well as students attending high school. My main extra-curricular activities at the Primary level extend to training students for speech competitions, coordinator of the School's Writing Club, organizing sporting events and serving as a Red Cross Patron. I have published several books which include the Amazon 5-star rated "The Women of An Era" and am the tenth female finalist in the School's Out 2k race for 2019 in Jamaica.
Covered a variety of areas particularly curriculum and instructional material alongside diagnostics in subjects at the elementary level. I am also the recipient of the 2008 Senates' medal of distinction from Mt. St. Vincent University of Canada, for its 6th Jamaican cohort.
