Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in an outpatient facility or clinic.
•Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
•Assists physicians during examinations and do the procedures as ordered by the physician.
•Prepare patients for admission as required by doctor and insert IV cannula.
Receiving the patient from reception and identify the patient with full name and medical number.
•Assist physician during physical examination/procedure and implements order.
•Inform patient about the collection of investigation reports and follow up with doctor for further treatment.
•Ensure the process of insurance is complete for the patient.
•Attend to telephone calls and respond in polite manner.
•Participate in admission procedure from OPD.
•Maintain safety, comfort and therapeutic environment for patient.
•Safe handling of narcotic drugs and administration of medication following medication rights.
•Follow best practice of infection control as per the policy and notify infectious disease to the authority.
•Meet total needs of patients -Physical, Psychological, Emotional and Social aspects.
•Maintain reports and records.
•Schedule appointment for necessary diagnostic procedures.
