• Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the organization.
• Undertakes observation and diagnostic testing, to supplement the Physiatrist’s initial evaluations in order to identify occupational therapy needs of the patients; Executes orders of the developmental doctors on the conduct of identified session.
• Undertakes comprehensive evaluation of home and job environments to generate necessary recommendation for behavioural adaptation.
• Provides guidelines to family members and attendants on the safe and effective methods of caring for the paediatric patients.
• Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepares reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishments based on plans on a day to day basis; consolidates accomplishment reports into monthly performance reports.
• Undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety and infection control.
• Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical and personal proficiencies.
Regular
• Oversee the activities within the department and make sure to offer suggestions for a smooth workforce.
• Facilitate a weekly department meeting to echo administrative decisions to the OT staff, discuss issues concerning the school and the department and hear out OT staff grievances and concerns with regard to their clients and co-workers.
• Serve as liaison between OT staff and the school director
• Organize the staff’s client roster.
• Critique staff reports in order to facilitate improved documentation and intervention plan.
• Monitor attendance of clients each month.
• Affix signature on reports prepared by staff.
• Continue learning in order to hone skills further as practitioner.

• Teach assigned classes in accordance with current course outlines and as outlined in the college’s workload policy. Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of specific field or discipline.
• Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students. Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Dean, Department Heads and other faculty members and contribute to the selection and development of instructional materials in accordance with course objectives.
• Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi and approved course outlines for all assigned sections/subjects in accordance with program and divisional policies.
• Employ available instructional technology, such as Internet and other interactive technology for students. Encourage the development of communication skills and higher order thinking skills through appropriate assignments.
• Develop and explain methods that fairly measure student progress toward course objectives. Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student works promptly to promote maximum learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade lists each semester according to established guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of students’ information.
• Participate in instructor evaluation, assessment of student academic achievement and demonstrate modification of teaching techniques in accordance with assessment feedback.
• Participate in professional activities that contribute to the educational goals of the college. Perform professional responsibilities in accordance with pertinent goals, missions and plans of the college.
• Provide behaviour modification techniques for children with autism, children with global developmental delay, and children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder;
• Offer Sensory Integration techniques to children with autism;
• Present gross motor activities to children with global developmental delay, children with autism, and children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder;
• Render training in activities of daily living to children with autism and children with global developmental delay;
• Give language stimulation activities/techniques to children with communication delay;
• Provide children’s caregivers home instruction program to follow up management given at home;
• Write down occupational therapy notes (activities given and the child’s reaction to the activities given) at the end of the day
• Give OT services when centre needs extra therapist/regular staff is unavailable/on leave
• Render cognitive stimulation to children with mental retardation, down syndrome
• Present language stimulation to children with language delay
• Provide behaviour modification techniques to children with autism, down syndrome, and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder
