• Lead the team in construction, installation, and testing of all electrical equipment from substation to primary and secondary costumers such as lightning arrester, power transformer, MV switchgear, LV switchgear, RMU, instrument transformer, bus-bar, wave trapper, isolator, circuit breaker, batteries, capacitor bank, switchyard, indicating and metering instruments, carrier-current equipment, relay, insulator, transmission line, standby diesel generator, changeover switch, MDB, SMDB, Final DB, cable ladder, cable tray, building wiring and appliances, fire alarm and telecommunication to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards and costumer requirements.
• Oversee project execution of all electrical works to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within the budget.
• Supervise and train project team members such as foremen, technicians and workers.
• Read and review official Detailed Design Drawings (DDD), Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, shop drawings, project specifications and standard codes, method statement for installation, Request for Installation Inspection (RFI), Inspection Checklist (IC), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), accepted vendors and approved material submittals, and Request for Material Inspection (RMI) including complete attachments like test reports and origin/make.
• Inspect the work done by the contractors to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the contract documents and accepted practices.
• Assist Resident Engineer in the review and issue comments on the contractor’s technical submittals such as shop drawings, product data, samples, and mock-ups to be delivered to the design team.
• Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works.
• Read and review official Detailed Design Drawings (DDD), Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, shop drawings, project specifications and standard codes, method statement for installation, Request for Installation Inspection (RFI), Inspection Checklist (IC), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), accepted vendors and approved material submittals, and Request for Material Inspection (RMI) including complete attachments like test reports and origin/make.
• Perform variety of inspection jobs within the discipline.
• Monitor the start-up, commissioning and handover of the site works.
• Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works.
• Manage the teams in construction, installation and testing of all external electrical works such as substation, MV switchgear, LV switchgear, distribution transformers, instrument transformers, standby diesel generators, changeover switch, isolators, disconnect switches, MDB, SMDB, Final DB, electric motors and starters, capacitor banks, earthing and lightning protection, electrical duct banks, telecommunication duct bank, electrical manholes, telecommunication manholes, cable trenches, bus duct, bus bar risers, uninterruptible power supply, cable ladder, cable tray, cable trunk and selection of cables.
• Resolve issues and make sure that all works are completed according to specifications.
• Effectively communicate with construction managers, architects, and other engineers throughout a project’s development and execution.
• Read and review official Detailed Design Drawings (DDD), Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, shop drawings, project specifications and standard codes, method statement for installation, Request for Installation Inspection (RFI), Inspection Checklist (IC), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), accepted vendors and approved material submittals, and Request for Material Inspection (RMI) including complete attachments like test reports and origin/make.
• Monitor the construction to ensure that they meet the quality requirements.
• Inspect, test or measure delivered electrical materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Maintain records of material tests performed and executed works.
• Install, test and repair MDB, SMDB, DB, MCC, power and lighting outlets, lighting fixtures, street lightings, landscape lightings, fire alarm, firefighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, building management system, close-circuit television, and telecommunication.
• Troubleshoot all electrical faults occurred at least possible time.
• Mentor project team members such as foreman, technicians and workers.
• Install, energize, test and repair of all fire alarm wiring, equipment, appliances and apparatus.
• Install and repair telecommunication transmission relay station equipment such as tower, antenna, coaxial cable, fiber optical cable, frequency receiver, frequency transmitter, decoder, encoder, remote control logic and audio interfaces, control console, and power supply - AC power and battery backup.
• Plan, design, install and repair telecommunication OSP system in Southern Mindanao area. Site survey, demand investigation, subscriber source of income investigation and other related studies.
• Assemble, install, test, energize and troubleshoot MV switchgears, transformers, MDB, SMDB, Final DB, electric motor controls, cable ladder, cable tray, and cable pulling.
