Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Procurement policies and procedures.
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels.
Setup & maintain material master system planning parameters (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks).
Coordinate with operations, engineering, purchasing and quality to attain production goals.
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company.
Researches new products and services to meet company's goals.
Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all
materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of
future potential problems.
Meet schedules to dedicate time on shop floor and warehouse areas.
Resolve capacity issues by prioritized scheduling and suggestions.
Update production tracking and reporting reports.
Review and interpret bills of material construction.
Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production
material as required by forecast and the production schedule.
Management of critical situations in terms of procurement of parts.
Analyze changing material demand patterns.
Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development
Plan material to attain company metrics like turns and customer fill rate.
Interface with vendors and forecast material integrity.
Oversee and improve vendor performance.
Analyze ERP generated forecasts on reasonableness and accuracy.
Introduce new product, engineering changes and customer conversions.
Reflect vendor purchase order changes.
Process customer order enquiries, schedule changes and cancellations.
Ability to understand complex requirement schedules.
Mentoring / Coaching.
Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead times.
Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers.
Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned.
Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options.
Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory changes
Develop project baseline schedule that includes resource loading, drawings requirements, equipment/material delivery schedule, production hull construction and outfitting schedule, test and trials of ship’s various systems.
Maintain the project planning and identify the key issues and potential problem. Analyze and propose / anticipate corrective actions
Establish and maintain appropriate project progress monitoring data, miscellaneous reports, S-Curves, resource loading, workshop & equipment capacity plan, and production look-ahead.
Monitor actual versus planned progress, highlight / resolve areas of concern and produce recovery plans, forecasts and re-baselines as required.
Co-ordinates planned work activities of production on the structural, outfitting, inspection and testing. Liaises with the Project Manager and Trade Supervisors for the co-ordination and implementation of work packages.
Attend project meetings and discuss/resolve outstanding issues all areas of EPC.
Involve in analysis of production processes, work methods, procedures and setting up of different shipbuilding norms.
Plans, develops and implements materials and document control systems to provide optimum service levels for the operation department’s requirements.

Identify blocks steel work content and measure the joint length in order to obtain the correct progress data and man-hour estimates for hull and superstructure.
Identify zone/compartment outfit work content from heavy hot-works, light hot-works, paintings activities, heavy cold work and light cold works. Outfitting works such as the electrical, mechanical, insulator, painter, sheet-metal, pipefitter and carpenter.
Work closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on delivery of project materials are in accordance with the baseline schedule required date.
Prepare high level tender schedule, labor and cost estimate for new projects and submit to the client for tender requirements.
Develop project baseline schedule that includes resource loading, drawings requirements, equipment/material delivery schedule, production and installation schedule.
Attend project meetings and discuss/resolve outstanding issues related to submittals and cost estimates approval of proposed signage designs.

Carry out various functions related to project document receiving & transmittal, safekeeping & maintenance of project document archives, document imaging and document reproduction and distribution as required.
Ensure proper safekeeping of document and good document retrieval system using in house software’s and creation of new database for that purpose. To input and manage data into the database related to document receiving, tracking project documents, archives etc.
Document classification, sorting, filing, archiving and retrieval of documents in accordance to projects document indexing and filing system requirements existing or new. Prepare occasional reports required.
Maintaining up to date computerized records of all correspondence exchanged with client, subcontractors, vendors and third parties in accordance with established company or program procedures. Also control of all project related documents, drawing, manufacturer’s manual and engineering change proposal, transfer of technology information etc.
Co-ordination with other projects team members and divisional inter department members for proper and smooth transmission of documents and further follow up as required.
Identify and segregate all documents per projects and files it in accordance with the relevant tracking codes of projects. Follow up reproduction request and the making of copies and collection and distribution of certain documents.
Organize / manage engineering query / Deviation request - CR’s and other document registers as necessary.
Downloading and transferring electronic data to client / Subcontractors through CD / Email as per the requirements.
Ensure proper control on receipt / distribution of confidential / contractual documents and drawing for the department.
Review and maintenance of electronic files for final documentation.
