The private design business of Christos Dousis is focusing on the structural analysis and detailing required for Reinforced Concrete Hydraulics Structures, Infrastructures and Buildings. The structural analysis and detailing are usually at the level of Final Detailed Design. The design is executed under a sub-contract agreement with the clients being large Hydraulic Engineering Companies. Structures include among others chute spillways for earth-fill dams, bridges over the dam’s spillway, underpasses, culverts, pumping station buildings, small hydro-electric power plants, water retaining structures, control and checking gates located along irrigation canals, sewage treatment plants, retaining walls for highway projects . A complete set of calculations and detailed drawings with bar schedule is delivered and support is provided during construction. However if required only draughtsmen support is offered for reinforced concrete structures that are to be constructed.
Structural design of buildings for engineering firms and private clients is also executed where supervision and project coordination is also offered. A number of flat renovations have been executed.
Drafting for Reinforced Concrete Structures at detailed level is executed using years of Engineering Experience and Practise.
Due to their complexity all of the infrastructures projects are closely followed during the construction. Support is provided either to the supervision or to the contractor.
Review of Structural design and drawings for Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures for Civil works required to upgrade capabilities of Saudi Arabia National Guard Signal Corps.

The project demanded the detailed reinforcement drawings for Outlet and Inlet Works for 20 Culvert and the design for approximately 3300m of Retaining Wall with heights ranging from 2~7m.

The sub-contact work concerned the detailed of the dam's concrete spillway.
Spillway's discharge capacity 500m3/sec, Length 100m, Clear Span varying from 40m to 20m, Wall's height ranging from 7m to 4m. Reinforced Concrete Bridge of two spans (20m each) at the dam's crest
Detailed Design for motorway, Demir Kapija-Smokvica Section of European Corridor 10, an Integral Part of the National Road M-1 (E-75) (EU Co-funded project)
The structural work executed by C. Dousis consisted of 50 boxed culverts with top soil height from 0.50 to 35m and approximately 700m of Retaining Walls for a Motorway solution

Technical assistance to the Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads for the Review of tender documents for the Deva-Orastie By Pass, motorway section part of the European Road Corridor IV, EC funded under ISPA (European Project)
Contract included Review of existing design for all structures and Tender documents/Instructions to tenderers and specifications/ to be contracted under FIDIC Red Book contract conditions and PRAG procurement regulations.
The reviewed structures included among others, 25 one, two and three span Bridges, retaining walls and boxed culverts
Detailed Design of Voreino Pellis Small Hydro-Electrical Project (5MW) and Technical Assistance during construction (Close Support to the Supervision)
