Receiving the emergency cases with responsibilities.
Keen observation of emergency cases and initiate the life saving measures immediately as needed.
Giving care to ventilator patients.
Preparing and assisting for procedures such as intubation, LP, suture removal, dressing, catheterization, ICD insertion, IV cannula, arterial lines, umbilical lines
Prepare the patient for surgeries and investigations like X-ray, ultrasound, MRI,
CT scan, Echo, etc. when required
Taking full care in maintaining sterility of the unit.
Management of all preterm and post term babies, who needs intensive care & also pre-operative & post - operative care
Prevention of infection by minimal handling of babies and good nursing care to the patients.
Monitoring vital signs, APGAR score, daily care of baby
Giving paladai feeds, assisting mothers in breastfeeding and paladai feeding for neonates.
Preparation counting and arrangement of all the instruments and articles needed in the ward.
Rounds with doctors and carrying out the prescriptions.
Assisting in orientation of new staff nurse.
Maintaining proper inventories.
Planning and discussing about the job responsibilities with seniors and team members.
Maintaining a good IPR with the clients, their significant others and team members to ensure the occurrence of effective therapeutic communications.
Giving chest physiotherapy and suctioning.
Resuscitation during cardiac and respiratory arrest.
Inserting NG tube and feeding.
Family advice and counseling.
