Job Description:
1. Works within a company to improve safety and to address health concerns among employees.
2. Appraises the work environment and the risks of exposure, identifying possible risk sources and recommending safeguards.

Job Description:
1. Plans the focus, objectives and activities for the clinical experience of nursing students.
2. Orients students to the expectations, activities in the clinical area and to the basis of evaluation of clinical experience.
3. Supervises students in the performance of nursing procedures.
4. Demonstrates new procedures to the students.
5. Holds individual guidance and counseling session with the students, as necessary, based on assessed needs and problems.
6. Identifies strengths and weaknesses of students in terms of academic, clinical and personal behavior.
7. Evaluates the students’ progress and shares this information with the Dean and other faculty members concerned with the students’ total development.
8. Makes written records and reports regarding special programs/activities and unusual incidences taking place in the clinical area/classroom.
9. Participates in planning and developing programs and policies necessary for the students’ personal and professional growth.
10. Participates in the orientation program for the students.
11. Acts as adviser to one class to assist and guide students in their problems and activities. (additional unit load)
12. Accepts lecture assignments related to nursing subjects and nursing activities. (additional unit load)
13. Participates in seminar-workshop, in service and professional meetings conducted in the school or per invitation from other institutions.
14. Participates in updating, revising the school’s nursing procedure manual, the students’ handbook, the personnel policies and the students’ evaluation tools.
15. Attend regular meetings/conferences with the dean and other faculty members.
16. Acts as proctor during major examinations.
17. Prepares test questions as part of student evaluation.
18. Accepts committee assignments related to students’ extracurricular activities.
19. Enrolls in graduate program for professional growth and development.

Inspired by the Mission/Vision Statement of UST and the Objectives of the Faculty or College, as a Faculty member of the College of Nursing, I have assumed the following general and specific duties and responsibilities:
A. General Responsibilities:

1. Teach assigned subject matter (Related Learning Experience) effectively and efficiently.
2. Cultivate to the students critical and creative thinking, to inculcate Christian and Filipino values and develop to in them positive attitudes through quality instruction, research and community service.
3. Observe and help carry out the University policies and standards.

B. Specific Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Tasks:
I was able to:
a. Orient to the students the rules and regulations of the University and the College, requirements of the course (RLE), and the grading system.
b. Use effective communication techniques.
c. Give a course/subject (RLE) requirement that stimulates critical/creative thinking, broaden knowledge’s and develop research skills.
d. Attend/hold RLE regularly and punctually.
e. Facilitate student’s understanding of the subject matter.
f. Provide appropriate learning activities that suit the student’s interests and capabilities.
g. Motivate and sustain students’ interests and enthusiasm for learning.
h. Evaluate student’s academic performance fairly based on objective criteria such as clinical performance and grades on exams and other requirements.
i. Submit the required reports, records, grades etc. punctually and regularly.

Job Description:
Under immediate supervision, administers nursing care to patients in her unit; implements hospital policies, rules, and regulations; participate in training and research; perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Administers general nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical Unit utilizing nursing process.
a. Monitor and assesses patients condition thru regular patients rounds.
b. Carries out admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
c. Prepare patients for diagnostic procedure and operation.
d. Records and reports conditions and progress of patients under their care.
e. Prepares and administers medications and other treatments as indicates.
f. Give health teaching to patients and relatives.
g. Provides clean, safe and therapeutic environment.
h. Provides psychological and spiritual care to patients and relatives.
2. Gives proper endorsement to the incoming shift.
3. Coordinates with different support services through proper channels.
4. Maintains confidentiality of records and other information regarding patient or his/her case.
5. Participates in meeting, staff development programs and research.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide initial assessment and management to every patient brought to ward;
2. Execute the physician order in admission, discharge and transfer promptly and properly;
3. Assist in operations/minor surgeries and diagnostic procedure;
4. Monitor and record patients’ condition serially;
5. Keep open a clear tract for life-threatening emergencies;
6. Anticipate order in life-threatening situations;
7. Assist in mayday calls;
8. Prepare and administer medication and treatments as indicates;
9. Collects specimens for laboratory purpose;
10. Promptly refer any patients who require immediate attention and management;
