Job Purpose
A beauty advisor usually works for retailers that have a dedicated beauty sales counter or catalog. These retailers usually sell their own line of cosmetics, skin care, and perfumes. Which are the main products sold by the advisor. An advisor assists customers with finding products that meet their needs by giving makeovers or product demonstrations. An advisor is the main representative for the company and their products, she is acting as a sales person and as a customer service representative.
Beauty Advisor Job Duties
The main responsibilities of a beauty advisor are to help customers find the products that meet their needs and sell customers as many products as possible. Job duties involve suggesting products, explaining how products work, demonstrating how to use products, performing makeovers, and operating the cash register. A beauty advisor may have to meet sales goals, build customer relations through follow-up calls and mailings, recruit new customers, order new products, handle door-to-door sales, and manage inventory. Beauty advisors may also stock shelves, clean floors, and organize sales areas.
• Performs customer service functions consisting of greeting customer and ascertaining needs; providing information regarding medications, skin care items, washing and bathing items and health check section to customers, and answering phone and responding to inquiries or referring to appropriate office or individual.
• Explaining and advising customer the right skin care product for her/his skin and make up.
• Stocks prescription area with bottles, vials, cassettes, etc.; prepacks frequently used medications and creates documentation; cleans shelves supplies, and equipment; maintains "over the counter" inventory.
• Types prescription label; readies prescriptions for pharmacist approval.
• Maintains pharmacy representatives listing; assists in the preparation of formulary which lists available medications.
• Replenished medicines, skin care, men’s grooming, health checks, washing&bathing and health care items
• Checks in pharmaceutical orders; assists in inspection of expiration dates of medications and skin care item; pulls expired medications; posts reorder needs.
• Participates in pharmacy inventories.
• Performs eligibility checks; arranges for alternate labeling of prescriptions to identify patients; checks for payment
• Conducts Sales.
• Welcome the customer by greetings, offer them qualified advice on the available products, recommend/ demonstrate appropriate products; and promote cross selling with a view to meets the customers’ needs.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate any issues to the manager for suitable resolution.
• Communicate the customers the information on special offers/ sales promotion events
• Offer customer sales services.
• Manage the cash receipts, do audits, inventory of the cash and stock materials.
• Maintains the tidiness of the shop.
