Designated Person for Investment Management and Regulatory Reporting under AIFMD and UCITS regulations, as approved by the Central Bank of Ireland
•Liaise with MPMF appointed Investment Managers at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Marathon, and a number of other managers around fund performance and asset allocation against the offering documents of the funds
•Member of MPMF’s valuation committee, which is responsible for the valuations of numerous asset types including property, destressed debt, equities, fixed income, private equity, and derivatives
•Represent MPMF at quarterly board meetings of our clients, and present AIFMD/UCITS reports as necessary to the Board of Directors
•Present to the Board of MPMF providing updates around the ongoing functioning of the company and discuss possible open issues
•Management of Annex IV reporting for over 80 funds to the Central Bank of Ireland on a quarterly basis, which includes reviewing fund performance, counterparty risk, VaR, AUM calculations, gross and commitment leverage and a number of other calculations
•Encourage cross selling of MPMF and affiliates services to current clients and potential future clients
•Consistently staying up to date and reviewing changes in legislation in the funds industry
•Created, at launch, the policies and procedures employed by the company to fulfill its compliance obligations
•Creation of report templates used by the company, which includes valuation reports, portfolio monitoring reports, board reports and designated persons reports
Acting as Investment Manager under advice from an Investment Advisor for a number of funds including derivative and property strategy funds
•Management of on-boarding of new sub funds to a multi manager UCITS umbrella
•Control of business development presentations, while also meeting potential new clients
•Development of oversight procedures on funds to match expectations set out by the Central Bank/Program of Operations
•Liaising with all stakeholders involved with the proper functioning of funds, including auditors, investment managers, legal advisors, administrators and depositories
•Monitoring the exposures of funds under management, while also setting benchmarks and considering any operational or investment risk associated with the funds
Migrated derivative oversight procedures from JPM Bournemouth to JPM Dublin which involved offsite training
•Oversight of offsite hubs to help mitigate risk and identify errors on over 10, 000 derivative positions
•Team lead which involved oversight of work produced and responsibility for overall sign off
•Liaise with clients regarding any derivative queries and pricing discrepancies
•Project management on changes to derivative pricing methods and system implementation/updates
•Constant interaction with FA teams, custodians, auditors, investment managers
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and supervising change controls and processes within the team
•SME and point of contact for OTC queries and OTC related issues for fund accounting Dublin
•Presentations to management and visiting clients over a range of different subjects
•Member of Fund Accounting Continuous Improvement Focus Group which introduced floor wide initiatives
•Provide on-the-job training /assistance to other members of staff and to offsite hubs
•Coordinate changes and relevant background testing for the introduction of new systems within the team
•NAV calculation and review on differing fund structures and strategies
Upper Second Class Honours, Undergraduate Qualification
