I worked for Sweeney & Harkin as part of Structure-tone Group in New York City. I worked in a large team of Senior Quantity Surveyors. We worked on all large scale commercial fit-out construction projects in New York City.
Work included:
• Measurement & Estimating
• Negotiating and appointing packages
• Project co-ordination, supervision & management
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements & evaluate contract performance
• Analyzed price proposals and other data to determine price structure. Assessed cost effectiveness of products, projects, and services.
• Interim Valuations, Final Submittals & Final proposal Analysis
• Client & Contractor co-ordination & meetings
I worked in a team of 5 Senior Quantity Surveyors. Work comprised of the building of two large apartment buildings in downtown Manhattan:
Work included:
• Measurement, Estimating & Project Co-ordination
• Prepared cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals. Appointing Sub-contractors.
• Communicated with management to evaluate contract performance.

• CVI, RFI Instructions & project variations
• Maintained proposal status information for outstanding quotations and proposals.
Whilst with Euro Ground-works, my main duties comprised of measuring of work on-site and assisting in the tendering of projects.
