*it starts with a communication with the store visual merchandiser’s head for an everyday implementation which is coming directly from the head office of visual team.
*unlike in my previous job, H&M comes up with a Department Book which need to be follow according to its Weekly Implementation for all the Department such as Mens, Ladies, Kids, Accessories and Beauty but in the absence of merchandise, as in store visual merchandisers we create the so called our own inspiration based on the apaptation of what really the theme is intended for (character launchings, and any special occasion or holidays).
*upon commencing the work allocated individually, area of assignments will be photographed or videod accordingly and forwarded to office of the visual head in a Powerpoint Presentation.
*customer service is our major priority than visual merchandising job, we do set aside our task in terms of merchandising to give full service to them knowing that we’ve known almost where our merchandise or items are located, their availability and even their mades off.
*Brand has just introduced to the UAE upon my joining date, as the only one with experienced in retail, I was delegated to handle inventory or stockroom’s job, before I focused in the area of visual merchandising (which is my mode of expertise).
*an expansion happened after a year as another two shop opens in two different emirates and with that I was given the full authority to handle the visual merchandising display (I personally creates my window props based on the season, holidays or any special calendar occasions)
*as part of my duty as VM and with an experience in retail, I do take care by managing the proper distribution of merchandise’s quantity, by making decision what has to be brought in shop’s location.
*acting as owners right hand by making some critical decision in terms of shops promotion (what has to offer, price mark down, gifts and even other staffs issues).
.* Develops, deliver, and communicates visual concepts and strategies to promote retail brands, products and services in-store, in catalogue or online
*Increase sales and buyers’ attention, capitalizing on the human tendency to window shop
*enhances the aesthetic appeal of window display, walkways and counters in store displays
*Responsible for actually setting up the displays, signage, visual hits and window
*Responsible for supervising the staff tasked with turning the creative designs into reality
*maintains the store’s standards and prepares the display for customers before store opening
*ensures the uniformity of displays across multiple store locations
*Responsible for the new stores to open such as lay outing, level of stocks required based on the area and visualizing how the store should appear
*reporting and assisting the Shop Manager’s extra task by doing some paper works (attendance sheet, market survey report, etc)
*responsible for refilling and remerchandising vacant area in the department where I worked on (Children’s clothing section)
*responsible for giving my department report such as merchandise’s performance, what has to be included in promotion, price issues and damages.
