Role Description:
Key Responsibilities/KRAs/KPIs:
Implementing and managing workshop policies, procedures, standards, and strategies in order to meet the company's goals and objectives.
Managing, planning, controlling and organizing the planned periodic, preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on all equipments, machines and trucks in order to maximize their lifespan and ensure safety, to supervise and follow up on actual progress of each individual repair job.
Creating & maintaining a registering of all workshop equipment, managing the timely calibration and maintenance of this equipment, ensure all trucks, machineries and workshop equipment are maintained to the highest possible standard.
Managing the administration of the mechanical workshop, ensure all log books and departmental records are effectively maintained to enable stock control, ordering of parts and all other workshop functions operate efficiently, forecasting and ordering spare parts for specific jobs/special job or for stocks replenishment
Managing and formulating cost estimates for work required, ensuring that warranties are properly followed up, monitored, and documented, following up repair order, registering the time taken to complete each task.
Performing trouble shooting and diagnostics procedure on vehicles, machineries and equipment, recording observations and findings during diagnostics run and decide on the correct method of repair, as necessary
Testing and approving operators for trucks, excavator, loaders, Concrete Pumps, Skid steer, Trailer Head, etc.
Conducting final check/test driving for all vehicles/trucks prior to release.
Conducting annual performance appraisal of all direct subordinates.
Maintain a complete inventory system through recording of all expenditures and income of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies, etc.
Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders and communicate information to all stakeholders using the appropriate communication method.
Working as workshop manager for different types of heavy, light Machines and Equipment’s
Such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai, JCB and Volvo (Dozers, graders, cranes, excavators, Rollers, Generators and air compressors, welding machines, light vehicles, towers light and access machines ).
Refreshment the heavy machines conditions and make it ready for work.
Maintaining the heavy Equipment’s to be ready for work.
Reporting to section head about daily repairing & maintenance status.
Managing the workshop work from both technical and administrative aspects.
Distributing the work.
Making and following spare parts order (Material Requisition).
Review periodically stores items and spare parts to cover all repairs.
Evaluating quotations and analyzing prices.
Receiving diesel and petrol consumption reports
Carried out maintenance of Air conditioning units.
Carried out maintenance of Fire fighting system.
Carried out maintenance of all rotating equipment at the site mainly water pumps.
Carried out maintenance of water coolers.
Carried out maintenance PERKINS and CAT generators.
Carried out maintenance of diesel engines.
Also, Scope of works including shop drawings for pumping station, material approvals, pumps installation, discussion and meeting with client, managing project engineers, site engineers, Formans and technicians for mechanical works in co-ordination with civil works .

POSITION: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities:
Work as Maintenance Engineer for Heavy & light Vehicle and Equipments.
Vehicles: Mercedes Actros, Man, Iveco, Volvo, Scania and Hino ZS and light vehicles
Equipment: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hyundai, JCB and Volvo (Dozers, graders, excavators, Rollers and Scrapers).
Repair of Heavy, light Vehicles and Equipment.
Maintenance of Heavy, light Vehicles and Equipment.
Reporting to section head about daily repairing & maintenance status.
Warranty (follow up with dealer).
Managing the workshop work from both technical and administrative aspects.
Distributing the work.
Making and following spare parts order (Material Requisition).
Review periodically stores items and spare parts to cover all repairs.
Evaluating quotations and analyzing prices.
Receiving diesel and petrol consumption reports.
