Determine the exact Glass Specifications required on the project., exact detailing of each glass type like U inserts, Spider Fittings, Ceramic Fritt Details, Lamination details, Silicone Type to be used, Silicone Depth, kind of Spacer to be used.:
Check if the Basic Unit Price of each type of glass is based on the approved Profit Margin from the Calculation in the Cost Sheet or Quotations.
Determine what is the glass substrate or raw glass materials on each glass type on the Proforma Invoice.
Double check all the specifications and details upon releasing the Work Orders. Consult the Technical Department if needed.
THIRD PARTY PROCESS - Curving, Lamination, Ceramic Fritting, Sandblasting, Polishing, Holing, Notching, ETC.:
A. Inquire and determine the Third Party Supplier who can process the glass at the earliest possible time considering the charges should be within the budget that was considered on the Brought Out Values by Estimation Department.
Instruct the Procurement Department to prepare the LPO once everything is finalized with Third Party Supplier and determine / follow up the delivery dates from Third Party Supplier.
Prepare the drawings and detailing required by Third Party Supplier.
Considering the best Optimization Result based on standard stock sheet size by Estimation Department, check with Stores if the prices and the sizes as requested are available. In case if not available, then check with the supplier for an alternative stocksheet size.
Present to the Production Department the required Delivery Date Schedules of the project, coordinate with other Project Managers and Production Department regarding the coating run schedules in order to ensure that the Target Delivery Schedules will be meet or earlier if possible. Push, follow up and prepare a Tracking Records in a weekly basis in order to determine the exact Status of the Delivery Schedule.
Preparing the Quotations / Glass Price Calculations and Size Optimization using Lisec system defined set of parameters in an excel format in order to get the most reasonable glass price per unit area.
Preparing the Proforma Invoice using Lisec System that includes the rate per unit area of the glass and other additional rates of the process that will be done on the glass orders.
Preparing the Work Order for production of all the confirmed order from the customer.
Checking all the details of the glass orders (Glass Type Combination, specifications, dimensions, prices, and additional details of the glass order)
Analyzing all the glass order details and make all necessary drawings/sketches of fixing details like spider fittings bolts/inserts/spacers/Fritt Designs in order to present these orders in a precise, accurate and systematic way for the production team.
Making the drawings of shape glass orders and uploading it to the Lisec System for production
Making the Work Orders of all the Mock Up Samples.
Procuring Glass Materials for all the Company's On Going Projects and making sure that the overall thermal coefficient value (U-value) of the glass specs will be meeting the Dubai Municipality Standards in thermal insulation and control of energy consumption in air-conditioned building.
Inquiring to the supplier and ordering the material
Tracking Down all the deliveries
Preparing, filing and documenting all the correspondence, technical specifications and reports about glass.
Site supervision and coordinating with main contractor, consultant and suppliers.
Preparing submittals and mock up samples for approval.
Detailing drawings on glass cutouts, installation, and designs
