• Main project features: Urban Water supply project. The aim of the project was to improve the water distribution network of Dhaka City as part of the larger Dhaka Water Supply Network Improvement Project funded by ADB.
• The project included the rehabilitation of the distribution networks to reduce NRW and achieving 24x7 potable & equitable water supply in DMAs, with less than 10% NRW with minimum pressure of one bar.
• Enhancing technical and managerial skills of DWASA management and staff.

Position Held: International Team Leader International (DMS) cum Project Manager / Construction Manager of DWASA
Activities performed: (Tasks & Responsibilities)
• The project management specialist/team leader is responsible for
• Overall management and implementation of DMAs,
• Capacity development of PMU,
• Management of Community Program & formation & training of CBO (Community Based Organizations)
• Capacity development of Consumer relation Division of DWASA on gender
o Mainstreaming and social inclusiveness.
• In charge of all other consultants including timing of their:
o Inputs, quality of their inputs, liaise with DWASA PMU on a day-to-day basis and with ADB.
o With each consultant, preparing and supervising the approved work plan periodically.
o Holding project progress review meeting with other consultants and the DWASA to review progress on all fronts and resolve constraint accordingly.
o Updating the project schedule as per the critical path method of construction management.
• Preparing semi-annual safeguards monitoring report for ADB.
o Submission and disclosure and prepare quarterly progress reports on GAP implementation and LIC programs. Responsible for all reporting requirements in a timely manner.
• Setting up the management system and train other consultants and the DWASA staff in their management responsibilities.
• Monitoring the system running smoothly.
• Project procurement includes estimation, bid preparation, bid evaluation, contract signing, contract management like resolution of disputes of both parties.
