BGC) is a JV between Shell and Iraq Southern Gas Company which operates over 30 different sites throughout the Basrah region including gas processing plants, compressor stations, storage and marine terminals.
My current position involves the servicing of all Life Safety Critical Equipment in use by our Fire department and plant operations personnel. I am a certified BA Instructor and technician with 5 years’ experience as a technician. Responsibilities Include
•Operate, maintain, certify, inspect, calibrate, and oversee installation of life safety critical equipment- SCBA,
Group 4 Security as a security guard and passed Group 4 security training program.
•Within 6 months a promotion to become an escort driver which was a job of high responsibility. This involved escorting heavy cargo road transports daily from the port at Ras Laffan to the Pearl GTL project, liaising and working alongside the Qatar police and Ras Laffan Security. Checking all permits were in place and correct.
