As part of supervising the ground operations with a reporting Team of 50+ colleagues, my responsibility was to recognize the talents and select staff for cruise turnarounds and organize and deliver trainings/meetings and presentations per the training needs to the Team Members involved in operations.
I maintained a high level of customer service standards by taking the time to help customers and developing my peers. Management quickly entrusted me to take the role of Team Leader, enabling me to demonstrate my creativity, initiative as well as the coaching and management skills. I was working exceptionally during night shifts without any managerial supervision. Nevertheless, I managed to bring up my Team to the “Top Performers” status.
Undoubtedly this experience is the foundation of my personality. I started as a student of Personal Development Program that lasted 6 months while volunteering to help with the organizational and support tasks, such as coaching new trainees to help them create a personal development plan and prepare them for training. I also organized and recorded the development plans and kept them up to date by conducting regular follow-up interviews with trainees. After I finished the course I was invited to join the company as Training Coordinator. I took on various new tasks, such as facilitation of specific tasks and parts of the training, procurement tasks - finding venues for the trainings, catering providers and training material suppliers. After a few months in the position I was trusted to take the role of Training and Development Specialist providing me with the opportunity to facilitate corporate trainings, such as Time Management and Team Building independently among other tasks.
I am currently in process of developing my Master’s Thesis. The above date is the expected graduation date.
