Main Achievements in the current position:
1. Had the opportunity to put all the solution for ESRINEA Operations
Infrastructure, starting by how to effectively budget the project in term of Cost
& effort across the project life cycle, to automating the whole cycle, the solution
covered how to log, monitor & control Cost on the ERP, as well as log, monitor & control effort overrun on the project server, & how to link between the two tools while transferring the actual effort to labor cost on the ERP through time
submission.
2. Had the opportunity to put the solution of automating many of the process
activities which helped in implementing the process easily.
3. Implemented a simple tool to automatically calculate the effectiveness of cost
deduction decisions on the organizational cash flow before the decision is taken.
4. Not only I was handling the organization PI inside the company but also I was
able to expand ESRINEA Business lines & services provided in term of selling the
PI activities as well as the QC to our clients opening new market in the Quality
Services Field. We have successfully gained an opportunity to consult one of our
client to achieve ISO & provide roadmap to CMMI level 2; which we are finalizing and closing these days, on the other hand we are in the process of finalizing two
new contracts on the same aspect for other 2 of our clients. This is beside many
contracts of QC independent projects gained through the last period.


Role Responsibilities:
1. Head of the Process Improvement Unit
Managing the Process Improvement Team, responsible for performing process improvement
activities, train staff and support end user to implement the defined processes.

Duties Include:
• ESRI NeA Processes Improvements
• Approve on agreed enhancements on standard processes, templates, guidelines and checklists on ESRI NeA Models
• Establish needed life cycle guidelines for different Departments.
• Establish Technical Working Groups (if required) to define new process and/or guideline; elaborate the process area from improvement process model point of
view, and map between ESRI improvement needs and model goals
• Conduct periodical training and/or refreshment sessions on standard processes.
• Facilitate the process implementation across the organization.
• Support the project to implement ESRI NeA defined processes
• Communicate the gaps with Top Management & take appropriate actions.
• Design internal tools that may automate the processes for all categories
• Manage the testing of the developed internal tools to automate the processes.
• Approve training material and publish on the intranet to be accessed by Staff.
• Attend the subject matter experts (SME) meetings and follow up to ensure that the recommended updates are successfully implemented in the standards.
• Manage configuration management activities for all process improvement work
products
• Follow up on collected pilot feedback with PI Team Leader to be covered before deployment.

2. Head of the Quality Assurance Unit
Aims to establish and manage Organizational Quality Assurance Plan based on business
objectives and organizational needs set yearly in the Balance Score Card. The plan should
include both Software Engineering Processes as applied by projects and Business Processes
audits backed by the ISO 9001:2000 and CMMI quality models. Manage the relationship between different quality models. Evaluate best practices implemented to enhance the existing processes accordingly.

Duties Include:
• Planning & Monitoring of Quality Assurance activities
• Research on different quality models that can be followed
• Establish ESRI NeA audit plan for both Software Engineering Processes as applied by projects and Business Processes
• Sets Organization goals related to audits based on business objectives
• Works with Projects/Departments/Function heads on major non conformities in their
departments.
• Tracks all planned activities of the quality assurance department. Monitors assigned
tasks to team.
• Tracks QA department effort and budget
• Communicates with projects/departments/Function heads to collect feedback on existing processes.

• Plans for rewarding the distinguished projects or functions

UTC Bank Registry (BAR) Common Data Repository (CDR)
• Project Overview: An integration system between BAR and CDR projects to place the common
tables in both projects in a unified place. This helps users handle insertion, update, and deletion
process in one place rather than applying them on both databases

UTC Intranet Portal
• Project Overview: Intranet portal used in coordinating portal gadgets including news management
subsystem that handles article submission, assignment, and categorization; executive dashboard for critical indicator displays; and training course registration system

UTC E-Dialog
• Project Overview: Application for employees posting their suggestions, anonymous complaints, and feedback to HR department and receiving feedback. The system supports multi-lingual web-based

UTC Surplus Management System
• Project Overview: Workflow system managing UTC excess inventory by facilitating reuse of surplus
