Managing engineers in the matrix environment to support users post PC upgrade to office 2003. Requested by HP
to manage this part of the project based on my previous management skills:
 Applying Prince2 to manage, control and assure quality of the product that goes under my liability.
 Managing a team of 10 Engineers during the move and changes and post migration
 First line support post migration, distribute work and creating workflow process and engineers manual.
 Ensures users are able to access all applications following overnight Altiris deployment.
 Accountable for the resolution and escalation of user problems and manage issues using Remedy.
 Responsible for the communication and deployment process modification with the Deployment Project Managers.
 Reviewing CVs and Interviewing candidates to work under my supervision to support traders and users post
upgrade to Office 2003
 Approving Engineers work record and reviewing their work process.
 Equipment ordering (PCs, Video Card, KVM switch, NIC and Dect phone) and managing procurement for the
project
 Ordering / installing KVM switch and re-organise the build suite for day one support, create process for building
PCs and use labelling system to find user hosts.

Reducing 2 hours tasks to 5 minutes by creating a process and VBScript to automate the printing job for 300 user’s at differing locations. This process alone reduced SLA costs by reaching users promptly and assisting them with upgrade issues.
