• Provide technical support and guidance BAB asset on all integrity inspection and compliance issues.
• Planning and supervision of emergency and scheduled repair work programs.
• In the event that pipeline incidents do occur, undertake prompt action which minimizes additional damage.
• Prepare Procedures, method statements and Task Risk Assessment for safety and constructability issues.
• Provides technical support to the procurement activities, cost and schedule efforts.
• Work closely together with Inspection & Corrosion engineers to ensure original material selection philosophy is met for the repair work
• Development, improvement and optimization of existing systems, standards and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits and action audit recommendations in a timely fashion.
• Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Production Engineering to ensure regular wellhead, flowline, plant, and pipeline maintenance programs are carried out.
• Provides technical guidance to Foreman/Technical Operators.
• Preparation of budget plan for Pipeline activities and report progress and variances.
• Preparing site pipeline maintenance record keeping systems & Procedures so as to ensure all records are kept up to date.
• Supervise the design works of consultants/engineering contractors. Review/ approve drawings, specifications, calculations, MTOs and other technical documents for pipeline engineering for all types of FEED projects.
• To supervise and keep contact the work of engineering consultant and To ensure that the consultants / engineering contractors designs are in accordance with the scope of work and meeting company expectation with regard to quality, application of proven and reliable state of the art technology.
• Review and recommend for management approval project deviation request from vendor/contractor/engineer.
• Provide any information, professional calculation for verifying purpose that may be required by the OWNER during detailed engineering period.
• Assist the OWNER to monitor engineering activities in accordance with applicable codes/standards and engineering progress to ensure schedule adherence and to identify any problem, deviation, non-conformance, delay in progress and actions to be taken

• Pipeline engineering design and construction advice per ASME B 31.4, ASME B 31.8 & ASME B31.3 including Engineering calculations, analysis covers pipeline/piping wall thickness calculation for CS / DSS / SS/ GRE, strain based calculation, elastic bend radius calculation, road/rail/water body crossing design calculations, Barred Tee calculation, Flange calculations, Re-enforcing pad calculation, buoyancy calculations, virtual anchor point calculation, expansion on above ground pipeline ends, upheaval buckling, Flange Leakage Calculation, expansion loop calculation, hydro-test calculation, pipe span calculation, pipe support, stress analysis using CAESAR-II, Hot Tap calculation, Stud Bolt length calculation, Zick analysis for Pig trap saddle supports, soil stiffness calculation & induction bend thinning calculation.
• Pig Traps design calculations (wall thickness, branch reinforcement, flange rating, saddle support, wind load, seismic load and hydro testing pressure) & Fabrication drawings.
• External and internal corrosion mitigation measures including selection and design of external and internal coating/lining (FBE/PP/PE) for the pipelines.
• Preparation of material requisitions and specifications for all pipeline related materials including line pipes (CS/DSS/SS/GRE), Flanges, valves, pig traps, pig signalers, pipeline fittings, PE Liner, Barred Tee, Fittings, isolation joints, heat shrink sleeve, corrosion monitoring fittings & gaskets.
• This position reports to pipeline engineering department head, & had an additional responsibility of Stress specialists, responsible for resolving stress issues for all projects.
• As the lead, plans, budgets, organises, coordinates and controls the project and is responsible for coaching and developing Omani professionals.
• Prepare pipeline specifications and drawings, interpret soil/route survey data, prepare /review alignment drawings.
• Engineering for scraper trap systems including design, preparation of specifications, general arrangement drawings for the pig launchers and receivers.
• Review/ approve drawings, specifications and other technical documents for pipeline engineering
• Providing technical input and direction into the Contractors pipeline construction and installation activities in order to facilitate progress and to achieve a fit for purpose design.
• Plan, co-ordinate with various other engineering departments for project activities, meet with Heads of Technical Services, representatives/senior management from client and other concerned to discuss subjects such as co-ordinations, progress, schedule and arrive at the best and most economical and efficient solutions.
• Trouble shooting, attending to site queries and other site related problems.
• This position reports to Project Manager, responsible for planning and scheduling piping projects from front-end engineering through to conceptual and detail design, As built and demolition projects.
• The job responsibility includes day to day planning, scheduling and monitoring project activities, including co ordination between Project Manager and site, documentation control, Supervising drafting staff and QA/QC.
• Provide detailed engineering of plant modification and capital projects which involve P&ID preparation, cost estimation, description and justification, scheduling, mechanical scope of work, design calculation, preparation of specification, piping layout and isometric drawings.
• Interface with other discipline engineers during the development and subsequent review of engineering deliverables. When required, serve as single-point contact with SAUDI ARAMCO PROJECT ENGINEERS.
• Search and retrieve existing available drawings from Saudi Aramco drawing libraries (Web QVP).
• Verification (at site) of existing facilities, existing drawings, dimensional and system survey for preparing detailed survey reports & documents required to be used as input data for completing design involved in the project.
• Consistency checking of the drawings verses equipment layout, piping layout, piping isometric, piping supports, bulk and final material take-off.
• Compilation of project docs such as design packages, Construction packages, project design specifications.
• Provide guidance, technical backup & direction to design team Draughtsman/ Designers. Timely and accurate estimation of Mech. quantities for Projects from specifications and drawings.
• Inviting quotations from vendors and submitting the cost estimates to the client to facilitate bidding.
• Working in close co-operation with all disciplines associated with the project estimate.
This position involves interfacing between engineering specialists, project engineers, planners, and construction personnel of design consultant Kaverner Power Gas India Ltd.
It involves P&ID and general arrangement drawing interpretation, developing isometrics from 2D GA assemblies, drawing the line wise isometric for the construction purpose, monitor fabrication and welding procedure (SMAW, GTAW), maintaining QC documents, maintaining record of the extra and modification work, technical queries and solving fabrication difficulties, site surveying, documenting line wise consumption of pipes, valves, piping elements calculations of necessary details like shop joints, field joints, inch diameter, Inch meter, MTO, QC documentation and in depth knowledge of detailed engineering based on major engineering standards and international codes.
A sound knowledge of the safety aspects of the project safe work practices, work permit and experience in carrying out jobs in running plant.
