Served as primary point of contact for aviation customer inquires regarding fuel requests, supply shortages, and
market price trends. Arrange fuel for scheduled/ad-hoc commercial and corporate aviation flight customers on a
nationwide scale 24/7. Coordinate with fuel suppliers and carriers to schedule customer fuel bulk-load deliveries.
Key in sales orders, aviation fuel releases an send to appropriate suppliers, fixed base operator (FBO's), and
aviation customer.
Maintain fuel inventory levels by strategically analyzing petroleum markets to optimize profitability. Actively
manage fuel inventories and schedule supplier pipeline and truck deliveries for inventory locations. Ensure all fuel
delivery documents are received in a timely fashion and chase missing documents as needed. Match bill of
ladings to corresponding supplier invoices and process accordingly.
Run sales orders and exposure reports to ensure timely billing and accurate customer exposure. Key in source
documents received for billing purposes (Accounts Receivable) and vendor invoices received for payment
purposes (Accounts Payable). Manage issues regarding unbilled fueling, vendor invoice discrepancies,
accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, and activities related to end of month (EOM)
closing.
Conduct complete 4-point analysis of Petroleum Tanker Ships, Barges and Shore Tanks containing chemical
liquids such as LSFO, ULSD, MGO and Gasolines, accurately calculating gross and net tonnage, hold
capacities, specifications and volume of stored cargo +/- water, cargo weight and ship stability factors using
mathematical factors.
Analyzes data, formulates recommendations, writes reports of findings, issue certificate of compliance when
violations are not detected or recommend remedial procedures to correct deficiencies and using data and
individual judgment to determine whether processes comply with laws, regulations or standards.
Build new and maintain existing supplier relationships and source new supplier accounts at port level.
Managed and trained over 200 personnel in all aspects of fuel distribution, aviation refuel, bulk delivery, bulk fuel
storage, fuel sampling, and fuel gauging.
Conducted safety inspections of storage facilities; ensured adherence to Army guidelines an directives.
Managed hot and cold aviation refueling operations; updated existing and wrote new safety and hazard protocols
to imp0rove operations and environmental safety.
Oversaw, mentored, and trained fuel subordinates in the Battalion on proper procedures of setting up an FSSP,
ROM, and Jump FARPS.
Responsible for training and assisting personnel in proper procedures, methods and practice of work, as well as
proper utilization and care of test equipment and special tools.
Supervised and assisted in operation & maintenance of petroleum equipment to include seven M978 HEMTTs,
fourteen 5000 gallon M969, six M1088 tractors, and five LHS, valued in excess of $8, 5000, 000.
