As Head of Business Development for Alert HR Solutions, my primary responsibilities include leading the company's sales and marketing efforts, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners. I am responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans that align with the company's goals, as well as analyzing market trends and competitor activity to ensure that Alert HR Solutions remains competitive in the marketplace. Additionally, I oversee the professional development of the sales team and the execution of specific marketing campaigns. I manage the needs of a team of sales professionals and monitor KPIs/targets daily. I work closely with all other departments to ensure the business development initiatives are aligned with the overall company strategy.

I was solely responsible for the growth and development of OUP’s academic and higher education markets within the Middle East and North Africa region.
I had tough annual budget/targets to achieve, but I always exceeded all targeted expectations during my time at OUP.
On a day-to-day basis, I managed the needs of a diverse customer base, from small independent bookshops to multi-national retailers, Individual lecturers to heads of faculty in some of the world’s leading universities.

I continually found new ways/channels to help grow OUP’s exposure, especially in the “non-repped” territories.
I constantly created new “outside of the box” ways to increase revenue, and I spearheaded multiple projects that saw great success. These projects had never been seen within the region and some were rolled out to other academic sales teams across the globe.

• Returned products reduced from £76K in 2019 to only £32K in 2021 = Estimated revenue of £44K
• Average discount level reduced from 55.53% in 2019 to 50.52% in 2021 = Estimated profit of £69K
• Added 26 new corporate accounts in 24 months. = New business, worth over £165, 000
• Increased annual revenue by 4% in my first full financial year
• Increased annual revenue by 6% in my second financial year
