working out of Lillie Bridge Depot on LUL projects site inspections, scoping works, condition surveys, setting out, laying control for pre-works, cant, track and tunnel gauging and offset gauging, checking on design information and liaising with design teams. Working on Victoria line upgrade project going, out with the track maintenance teams during engineering hours on a daily basis and reporting back to depot on progress and liaison with the design teams and line management. Site supervision during works, in accordance with method statements monitoring, HS and temporary works. Reporting daily maintenance issues, attending meetings, providing concise records of defects and issues, documenting all quality issues, progress reports of all works daily, understanding construction health and safety laws in rail environments.

on contracts 250 and 430 overseeing survey teams and conducting surveys, reports and Terramodelling all surveys to file. Supervising construction and go between LUL and British Rail when tunnelling through to Barking Station. Monitoring all structures, as builts, embankments and all construction works permanent and temporary. Leica and Trimble total stations were used throughout including GPS.

LONDON UNDERGROUND (18 months)
Engineering Hours. Laying traverse survey control over 54 km of both tunnels of the Victoria line and tying in at every other station with GPS and traversing down to the station platforms to correct any error. Levels were also taken throughout the entire 54 km detailed as built survey was then carried out of everything in the tunnels and the rails at every 2 m for an additional laser sweep survey by a third party. Surveys of all platforms for planned works and some design issues that evolved from the as built surveys, including all signalling equipment.

Little Britain consists of 168 deep bored piles, 38m deep with 3m diameters. Pile caps are formed 15m below ground level with bolt assemblies to a 2mm tolerance. After the pile caps were formed stanchions were positioned on RC frame. A Diaphragm Wall around the contract and façade the building has over thirty floors and built from the ground up...

Survey Representative on the Victor/Viking project. The project consisted of the placement of the Victor platform and the 14 miles of pipelines from the Viking Field to the Victor Field. Based on one of the gas platforms.

On the Liskard by-pass until such time as the Barrier began. On site from the first contract date to establish the survey control from which all control originated. One of four surveyors I was the only one with Hydrographic experience. I was on the contract from start to finish. The surveyors performed all setting out for permanent works. The tolerances of +/-1mm was achieved throughout the contract. The construction involved 9 “piers”, 2 abutments, and a series of sills which were sunk between the permanent piers, these were constructed in dry dock, 11 cofferdams were piled across the Thames to house the piers some 50m deep. Tens of thousands of holding down bolts were all installed by the surveyors. Dimensional control surveys were undertaken to assist in the placement of all the giant machinery in the RC frames of the piers.

Surveys for dredging operations. The company had 10 dredgers around Britain, pipe laying, piling, trenching, reclamation. inshore hydrographic surveys were completed using there own survey boat all were drawn up and submitted. All quantities from our surveys were calculated.
