I am a proficient and experienced leader and trainer, with experience of leadership positions in schools and of designing, developing and implementing processes and programmes to lead to institutional improvements.
Currently I am Principal of a British curriculum International Primary school, as well as functioning as head of schools within the operating group in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. Alongside leading the successful primary school I support other schools and leaders with training and mentoring of leaders and teachers.
I have significant experience and expertise in instructional leadership and in particular expertise in leadership, school improvement and professional development for leaders and teachers.
I have excellent people management and communication skills and a proven track record in leading professional development, coaching and mentoring - particularly at a senior level. I have detailed knowledge and experience of using ICT solutions, data management systems and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
The role involves
* Managing the teaching and administration staff and building a cohesive unit of parents and all other school stakeholders
* Line managing two nurseries within the sunflower group with responsibility for up to 60 staff and 180
pre-school children.
* Strategic leadership and management of the cluster of schools and nurseries within the group.
* Supporting Principals and other leaders in school development and improvement.
Professional development trainer and leadership coach:
* Delivering innovative professional development and coaching using deliberate and explicit coaching
strategies to provide high level of collaboration practices to guide leadership change.
* Supporting Principals and other leaders in the development of school improvement planning and the
monitoring and measuring of the impact of professional learning in school.
* Using a high level of communication skills and negotiation skills to effectively achieve intended outcomes
* Using analyses, synthesis and evaluations of current practices and offering innovative suggestions for
progress
* Delivering successful and engaging professional development teacher training in a bilingual context
* Leading enquiries into multiple measures of data, enabling schools to consider aspects of their context,
practices and performance to direct future actions
* Developing monitoring strategies and providing quality assurance of the training programmes to inform
future decisions, developing reports and systems which have a result based focus
* Management of data management team
* Analysis of multiple information which is used extensively for decision making within the project
* Creation of digital solutions and accountability structures for staff management and deployment
* Ensuring Key Performance Indicators and other ongoing internal milestones are met and exceeded

* Line managing and allocating translators across 68 schools
Implementing the Abu Dhabi School Model according to the 10 year strategic plan:
* Leading pedagogical change in line with the Abu Dhabi Education Council educational reform and
implementation of the Abu Dhabi School Model and the Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Implementation of quality and performance improvement programmes to ensure development of teaching
pedagogy for school improvement.
Leading a team of Advisors across 18 schools in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi in pedagogical reform, to enhance
teacher performance and practice.
* Ensuring alignment of the company's policies and plans across the 18 partnership schools.
* Providing expert advice and mentoring to a cluster of Advisors and teachers for meeting expectations in
reform and implementation of the Abu Dhabi School Model.
Assisting Leading, managing and developing the school:
* Assisting with developing systems and monitoring procedures for school improvement.
* Leading and developing whole school professional development programmes, including the development of
ICT across the school curriculum.
* Implementation of successful initiatives and strategies such as teaching using the interactive whiteboard
and how ICT can work to enhance learning in the classroom.
* Ensuring alignment of policies, planning and performance management across the Secondary school.
* Implementation of a successful transition programme across the key stage.
* Head of English and Key Stage 3 Coordinator - Leadership and implementation of the new IGCE curriculum
for international students and second language learners.
* Writing of policies and procedures to support teacher development and performance within the English
department.
Leading whole school Professional Development and leading e-learning initiatives across all departments:
* Assisting with whole school leadership and other day to day management as a senior leader.
* Leading weekly Professional Development to support teacher progress, including ICT literacy to engage
with a virtual learning platform and other digital tools.
* Development of strategies and initiatives for whole school direction and e-safety.
* Line managing a team of nonteaching staff in support of ICT development, security and innovation.
* Building cross departmental collaboration to develop online learning and, student and parent interaction
with the virtual learning platform.
* Monitoring of systems and procedures to ensure consistency of practice with regards assessment,
reporting and attendance.
Responsible for leading and managing a faculty of 18 teachers and 6 subjects:
* Leadership of a successful Faculty, responsible for a consistently high standard of whole school curriculum
delivery and highly successful external results at SAT, GCSE and A Level.
* Promotion and delivery of Faculty Professional Development programmes aligned to the whole school
development plan.
* Monitoring of teacher performance, performance appraisals and disciplinary processes executed as
necessary.
* Faculty, Department and individual Data analysis, tracking and monitoring of student performance.
* Curriculum development, resource creation and pedagogical development.
